Un total de cuatro viviendas, un cuarto, un tramo y una bodega fueron afectados por un incendio ocurrido poco después de la 1:00 pm en el barrio Jorge Dimitrov de Bonanza afectando a unas siete familias, informaron las autoridades locales.

Las autoridades locales indicaron que el siniestro comenzó a la 1:00 y se logró controlar a las 2:40 de la tarde, en un esfuerzo conjunto entre alcaldía, Bomberos, Policía Nacional, Ejército de Nicaragua, CLS del barrio, estructuras locales del FSLN y la población en general que llegaron a auxiliar a las familias afectadas.

Aún no se tienen claras las causas del incendio.

Los afectados fueron identificados como Amy López Rosales, Kenia Yakarely Garzón Díaz, dueña de la bodega; Rosibel Davis Miguel, Bertha Miguel Fritz, Juan Gilberto Davis, Miguel Liza Mendoza Bolaños, Nohemí Ortiz Jacobo dueña del tramo.

Entre los afectados están 7 niños que salieron ilesos del siniestro.

Personal de la Empresa Nicaragüense de Electricidad (Enel) se dispusieron inmediatamente después de haber controlado el incendio, a reparar las líneas de energía que fueron afectadas.

Las viviendas afectadas fueron entregadas en los años 80 a familias indígenas de Bonanza bajo el proyecto del Ministerio de la Vivienda conocido con las siglas MINVAH, en el barrio Jorge Dimitrov.

La propagación del fuego se dio debido a que las viviendas eran de madera.

Homes affected by fire in Bonanza

A total of four homes, a room, a stretch and a warehouse were affected by a fire that occurred shortly after 1:00 pm in the Jorge Dimitrov neighborhood of Bonanza affecting about seven families, local authorities said.

The local authorities indicated that the incident began at 1:00 and was managed to control at 2:40 in the afternoon, in a joint effort between the mayor’s office, Firemen, National Police, Army of Nicaragua, CLS of the neighborhood, local structures of the FSLN and the general population that came to help affected families.

The causes of the fire are not yet clear.

Those affected were identified as Amy López Rosales, Kenya Yakarely Garzón Díaz, owner of the winery; Rosibel Davis Miguel, Bertha Miguel Fritz, Juan Gilberto Davis, Miguel Liza Mendoza Bolaños, Nohemí Ortiz Jacobo, owner of the section.

Among those affected are 7 children who left the accident unharmed.

Staff of the Nicaraguan Electricity Company (Enel) set out immediately after controlling the fire, to repair the power lines that were affected.

The affected homes were delivered in the 80s to indigenous families in Bonanza under the Ministry of Housing project known by the acronym MINVAH, in the Jorge Dimitrov neighborhood.

The spread of fire occurred because the houses were made of wood.
