Protección y seguridad a buques mercantes y flota pesquera industrial en el mar Caribe

El Ejército de Nicaragua consecuente con el lema de que “Somos el Pueblo mismo uniformado trabajando en su propio beneficio”, a través del Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval, del 8 al 14 de enero de 2021, efectivos militares, unidades de superficie, capitanías de puerto y puestos de control de embarcaciones, brindaron protección y seguridad a 2 buques mercantes con 186.215 toneladas métricas de mercadería de importación y 426.800 toneladas métricas de mercadería de exportación, se atendieron a 3 buques tanque con 1,135 barriles de diésel, 327 barriles de gasolina y 2,545 barriles de Bunker.

También, se atendieron 27 barcos de cabotaje con 610 toneladas métricas de mercadería con destino a los puertos El Bluff, Cayos Miskitos, Bluefields y Corn Island.

De igual manera, se brindó cobertura y seguridad a 102 barcos de la flota pesquera industrial, mismos que arribaron en los puertos de Corn Island y El Bluff; asimismo, se realizaron 2 controles a los Dispositivos Exclusores de Tortugas (TED’s), contribuyendo a la producción de 110,630 libras de producto marino entre pescado, langosta, caracol y camarón.

Durante las recepciones y despachos de estas embarcaciones, se emplearon 45 efectivos militares, 2 guardacostas, 3 lanchas rápidas y 2 lanchas auxiliares; además, los efectivos militares cumplieron con las medidas de protección orientadas por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), para prevenir el contagio de la COVID-19.

La Fuerza Naval como parte del Comité Nacional de Seguridad Marítimo Portuaria continúa apoyando a las instituciones involucradas para mantener el estatus de puertos seguros, brindar protección a la flota pesquera y contribuir a la economía nacional.

During the receptions and dispatches of these vessels, 45 military personnel, 2 coast guards, 3 speedboats and 2 auxiliary boats were used; In addition, the military personnel complied with the protection measures directed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Naval Force, as part of the National Committee for Maritime Port Security, continues to support the institutions involved to maintain the status of safe ports, provide protection to the fishing fleet and contribute to the national economy.
