Protección y seguridad para buques mercantes en el mar Caribe

Efectivos militares de la Fuerza Naval, capitanías de puerto y puestos de control de embarcaciones, brindaron protección y seguridad del 15 al 21 de enero a 2 buques mercantes con 293.702 toneladas métricas de mercadería de importación y 593.484 toneladas métricas de mercadería de exportación.

Según la nota de prensa emitida por la institución, señala que también atendieron a 4 buques tanque con 3,727 barriles de diésel, 272 barriles de gasolina.

Así mismo, atendieron 32 barcos de cabotaje con 570 toneladas métricas de mercadería con destino a los puertos de El Bluff, Cayos Miskitos, Bluefields y Corn Island.

De igual manera, brindaron cobertura y seguridad a 84 barcos de la flota pesquera industrial, mismos que arribaron a los puertos de Corn Island y El Bluff; contribuyendo a la producción de 242,531 libras de producto marino entre pescado, langosta, caracol y camarón.

Cabe destacar que durante las recepciones y despachos de estas embarcaciones, se emplearon 45 efectivos militares, 2 guardacostas, 3 lanchas rápidas y 2 lanchas auxiliares; además, los efectivos militares cumplieron con las medidas de protección orientadas por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), para prevenir el contagio de la COVID-19.

La Fuerza Naval como parte del Comité Nacional de Seguridad Marítimo Portuaria continúa apoyando a las instituciones involucradas para mantener el estatus de puertos seguros, brindar protección a la flota pesquera y contribuir a la economía nacional.

It should be noted that during the receptions and dispatches of these vessels, 45 military personnel, 2 coastguards, 3 speedboats and 2 auxiliary boats were used; In addition, the military personnel complied with the protection measures directed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Naval Force, as part of the National Committee for Maritime Port Security, continues to support the institutions involved to maintain the status of safe ports, provide protection to the fishing fleet and contribute to the national economy.
