Ordenación de primer diácono indígena llena de orgullo al Pueblo Mayangna

Eliberto Jhon Miguel, es el primer indígena Mayangna en ser ordenado diácono en la Diócesis de Siuna Caribe Norte.

Jhon Miguel fue ordenado diácono por la imposición de manos del Obispo Pablo Schmitz, quien junto al clero diocesano de la Diócesis de Siuna fueron testigos de esta ordenación histórica.

El Padre Agustín Ocampo dijo que está contento porque para el clero es un orgullo que Eliberto haya sido nombrado diácono, lo que llena de orgullo a su nación y nos enorgullece también a nosotros los sacerdotes misquitos y mestizos.

Fernando Jhon, un humilde padre de familia de origen miskito que llegó a Siuna procedente de Waspam a trabajar en la desaparecida empresa minera, se enamoró de su esposa Noma Miguel originaria de Sikilta ambos acompañaron a su hijo con sus consejos y oraciones.

Eliberto Jhon Miguel en primer diacono mayangna dijo que se siente orgulloso de recibir este sacramento, sobre todo por ser el primer diácono ordenado.

“Sabemos que hay desafíos como salir de nuestras comunidades, aprender otras lenguas, otras costumbres y tradiciones, pero, me siento feliz por ser el que ha rompido ese hielo y ahora es esperar nuevos sacerdotes” afirmó el diacono indígena.

Eliberto John dijo que llegar hasta esta etapa de su vida ha sido todo un reto, pues tuvo que retirarse del seminario por enfermedades y porque quería encontrarse así mismo, lo que le permitió estudiar psicología.

 “me retire un periodo debido a enfermedades, sin embargo, estudie una carrera de psicología y ayude a mis hermanos Mayangnas, pero, me sentía vacío, pues, Dios me llamaba día a día para servirle” relata lleno de alegría el nuevo diácono.

El diacono Jhon Miguel dijo que cuando se retiró, el Monseñor David Zuwiec q.e. p.d, estaba triste, pues su sueño era verlo como sacerdote ayudando a sus hermanos.

“sin embargo, no deje de comunicarme con los obispos y tiempo después retome mi vocación y aquí estoy a punto de ser ordenado sacerdote” afirmó Jhon Miguel.

A la eucaristía de su ordenación diaconal asistieron sus familias, amigos de las comunidades indígenas y autoridades de Siuna y el Caribe Norte.

Eliberto Jhon Miguel nació el 9 de abril de 1977, en la comunidad de Wany, municipio de Siuna, hijo de un padre Misquito, Fernando Jhon su mamá Norma Miguel una humilde mujer Mayangna.

Eliberto John said that reaching this stage in his life has been a challenge, since he had to withdraw from the seminary due to illness and because he wanted to find himself, which allowed him to study psychology.

 «I retired for a period due to illnesses, however, I studied a degree in psychology and helped my Mayangnas brothers, but I felt empty, well, God called me every day to serve him,» the new deacon recounted with joy.

Deacon Jhon Miguel said that when he retired, Monsignor David Zuwiec q.e. p.d, he was sad, because his dream was to see him as a priest helping his brothers.

«However, I did not stop communicating with the bishops and later I resumed my vocation and here I am about to be ordained a priest,» said Jhon Miguel.

His family, friends from indigenous communities and authorities from Siuna and the North Caribbean attended the Eucharist for his diaconate ordination.
