Protección y seguridad a buques mercantes y flota pesquera industrial en el Mar Caribe

La Fuerza Naval del Ejecito de Nicaragua, brindó protección y seguridad a 2 buques mercantes con 233.294 toneladas métricas de mercadería de importación, además atendieron a 3 buques tanque con 4,980 barriles de diésel, 400 barriles de gasolina y 200 barriles de búnker.

Lo anterior fue dado a conocer por medio de una nota de prensa, la cual reza que la actividad la realizaron del 5 al 11 de febrero del presente año.

Atendieron 35 barcos de cabotaje con 1,500 toneladas métricas de mercadería con destino a los puertos El Bluff, Cayos Miskitos, Bluefields y Corn Island.

De igual manera, a 84 barcos de la flota pesquera industrial que arribaron en los puertos de Corn Island y El Bluff, contribuyendo a la producción de 178,811 libras de producto marino.

La institución informó que emplearon 45 efectivos militares, 2 guardacostas, 3 lanchas rápidas y 2 lanchas auxiliares; además, los efectivos militares cumplieron con las medidas de protección orientadas por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), para prevenir el contagio de la COVID-19.

La Fuerza Naval como parte del Comité Nacional de Seguridad Marítimo Portuaria continúa apoyando a las instituciones involucradas para mantener el estatus de puertos seguros, brindar protección a la flota pesquera y contribuir a la economía nacional.

They handled 35 coastal ships with 1,500 metric tons of merchandise destined for the ports of El Bluff, Miskitos Cays, Bluefields and Corn Island.

Similarly, 84 vessels from the industrial fishing fleet that arrived in the ports of Corn Island and El Bluff, contributing to the production of 178,811 pounds of marine product.

The institution reported that they employed 45 military personnel, 2 coastguards, 3 speedboats and 2 auxiliary boats; In addition, the military personnel complied with the protection measures directed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Naval Force, as part of the National Committee for Maritime Port Security, continues to support the institutions involved to maintain the status of safe ports, provide protection to the fishing fleet and contribute to the national economy.
