Todo está listo para inicio del Torneo Germán Pomares Ordóñez

(La Primerísima) Por primera ocasión, el Campeonato Nacional de Béisbol Superior “Comandante Germán Pomares Ordoñez” tendrá la participación de 20 equipos, representantes de todo el país.

Este martes la Comisión Nicaragüense de Béisbol Superior (CNBS), junto a la Federación Nicaragüense de Béisbol Asociado (FENIBA) y el Estadio Nacional “Denis Martínez” brindaron todos los detalles de este Campeonato que marcará un antes y un después del deporte rey de los nicaragüenses.

En este 25 aniversario de la historia de los torneos German Pomares, participarán los tradicionales equipos del Pacífico: Chinandega, León, Dantos, Bóer, Granada, Carazo, Masaya y Rivas; además de los equipos del centro y norte del país: Nueva Segovia, Madriz, Estelí, Jinotega, Matagalpa, Boaco, Chontales, Río San Juan y Zelaya Central; a los que se unen, por primera vez: Costa Caribe Norte, Costa Caribe Sur y Las Minas.

En el 2009, cuando reinició la nueva etapa del Pomares, lo hizo con la participación de 14 equipos; en el 2011 se amplió a 16; en el 2013 participaron 18 equipos y ahora, en el 2022, serán 20 conjuntos.

“Estamos muy contentos porque, uno de los objetivos más importantes de la Federación que es la masificación de nuestro deporte, la práctica de los niños, de los jóvenes, aquí se cumple de una manera natural”, expresó Nemesio Porras, Presidente de FENIBA.

El torneo iniciará el viernes 18 de febrero, en Managua, en la “Casa del Juego Perfecto” con un partido sencillo entre los Indios del Bóer y Jinotega. Previo al partido, habrá una ceremonia inaugural que contará con la participación de 5 representantes de cada equipo.

Al día siguiente, sábado 19 de febrero, se realizarán todos los partidos de la primera jornada.

La primera etapa del Campeonato se jugará todos contra todos, por lo que serán 76 partidos en total.

Clasificarán los mejores 12 equipos que pasarán a una segunda ronda, la que será dividida en 2 grupos de 6 cada uno. Aquí jugarán todos contra todos los miembros del mismo grupo, lo que garantiza el desarrollo de 20 juegos.

Los 2 primeros de cada grupo clasificarán a la etapa Semifinal del Campeonato, para dar lugar luego, a una Gran Final, a 7 juegos si son necesarios.

Se jugará solamente sábados y domingos, doble partido cada día, a 7 entradas cada juego.

El torneo concluirá a inicios de septiembre, por lo que serán 7 largos meses de puro béisbol por todo el territorio nacional.

“Creo que este Campeonato Germán Pomares va a ser todo un éxito, así como han sido los anteriores”, concluyó el Presidente de FENIBA, Nemesio Porras.

“We are very happy because, one of the most important objectives of the Federation, which is the massification of our sport, the practice of children, of young people, is fulfilled here in a natural way”, said Nemesio Porras, President of FENIBA.

The tournament will begin on Friday, February 18, in Managua, at the «House of the Perfect Game» with a simple match between the Indios del Bóer and Jinotega. Prior to the match, there will be an opening ceremony that will include the participation of 5 representatives from each team.

The next day, Saturday February 19, all the matches of the first day will be played.

The first stage of the Championship will be played all against all, so there will be 76 games in total.

The best 12 teams will qualify and will go on to a second round, which will be divided into 2 groups of 6 each. Here everyone will play against all the members of the same group, which guarantees the development of 20 games.

The first 2 of each group will qualify for the Semifinal stage of the Championship, to then lead to a Grand Final, 7 games if necessary.

It will be played only on Saturdays and Sundays, double game every day, 7 innings each game.

The tournament will conclude at the beginning of September, so it will be 7 long months of pure baseball throughout the national territory.

“I believe that this Germán Pomares Championship is going to be a complete success, just as the previous ones have been”, concluded the President of FENIBA, Nemesio Porras.
