HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua certificada por Great Place to Work
Es la primera empresa minera de Nicaragua y de Centroamérica en obtener importante distinción
HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua de Grupo Mineros S.A., se convierte en la primera empresa minera del país en obtener la certificación Great Place to Work Institute (GTPW por sus siglas en inglés) y la primera minera en América Latina en entrar a la lista exclusiva de 60 empresas que actualmente cuentan con este reconocimiento otorgado por la consultora internacional, Great Place to Work Institute que calificó a HEMCO Mineros Nicaragua, como una de las mejores empresas para trabajar.
Las organizaciones que hacen parte del estudio de Great Place to Work son calificadas a partir de datos cuantitativos y cualitativos, donde el mayor peso recae sobre la perspectiva de los colaboradores. Además, se evalúan las prácticas de gestión de personas con el Culture Audit, que responde a la dirección de Gestión Humana.
Para Dennia Bustillo, Gerente de Gestión Humana y Comunicación de HEMCO, participar del proceso de certificación fue una experiencia desconocida, pero gratificante. “Conocimos la percepción y los sentimientos de nuestra gente y esto nos ayudó mucho a identificar como está nuestra gestión como equipo de trabajo y planificar acciones de acuerdo a las oportunidades identificadas”, compartió Bustillo.
El proceso de certificación contó con la participación del 85% del grupo de colaboradores y evaluó aspectos de las relaciones humanas y los procedimientos que conllevan al bienestar del grupo de colaboradores. El objetivo es que los resultados permitan promover planes y estrategias que aporten a la mejora del clima organizacional.
“Estar certificados en GPTW nos hace sentirnos orgullosamente mineros, ya que es una distinción que manifiesta el bienestar de todos y eso nos compromete a seguir mejorando y cumplir con los objetivos planteados de crear oportunidades mediante planes de acción y mejora continua”, enfatizó Bustillo.
GPTW cuenta con un modelo y estándares para evaluar el estado en que se encuentran las compañías en temas de clima laboral y hasta el momento ha certificado a 137 organizaciones, alcanzado a 1,350 empresas y contado con 89,418 colaboradores en los distintos procesos.

The organizations that are part of the Great Place to Work study are qualified based on quantitative and qualitative data, where the greatest weight falls on the perspective of the collaborators. In addition, people management practices are evaluated with the Culture Audit, which responds to the Human Management department.
For Dennia Bustillo, Human Management and Communication Manager at HEMCO, participating in the certification process was an unknown but rewarding experience. «We learned about the perception and feelings of our people and this helped us a lot to identify how our management is as a work team and plan actions according to the identified opportunities,» shared Bustillo.
The certification process had the participation of 85% of the group of collaborators and evaluated aspects of human relations and procedures that lead to the well-being of the group of collaborators. The objective is that the results allow promoting plans and strategies that contribute to the improvement of the organizational climate.
«Being certified in GPTW makes us feel proud as miners, since it is a distinction that manifests the well-being of all and that commits us to continue improving and meeting the objectives set to create opportunities through action plans and continuous improvement,» Bustillo emphasized.
GPTW has a model and standards to assess the status of companies in labor climate issues and to date has certified 137 organizations, reached 1,350 companies and had 89,418 collaborators in the different processes.
