Autoridades de salud visitan hospital de Bluefields

Las autoridades de salud de Nicaragua y la Organización Panamericana de la Salud (OPS), visitaron el hospital regional de Bluefields para constatar las condiciones ante un posible caso de coronavirus en el Caribe Sur.

La doctora Janeth López, directora del hospital de Bluefields, dijo que la doctora Sonia Castro, asesora para temas de salud del presidente Daniel Ortega, y la representante de la OPS en Nicaragua, Ana Solís Treasure, llegaron a Bluefields este jueves y desde la noche y esta mañana recorren las instalaciones del centro asistencial.

López destacó que el recorrido fue para analizar y verificar el protocolo de atención a posibles pacientes con COVID – 19, así como valorar el espacio seleccionado y equipado donde se atenderán a posibles casos.

También se valoró el lugar de entrada de pacientes, la entrada para el personal médico, la salida del personal, entrada de medicamentos y alimentos, las condiciones donde se atenderán a los pacientes positivos y hasta el área de Cuidados Intensivos, indicó López.

Las autoridades de salud realizaron algunas recomendaciones mínimas y se declararon listos para enfrentar la situación, aunque la ministra Castro fue clara en decir que la verdadera batalla está en el territorio para evitar propagaciones.

“Aquí en el hospital vamos a salvar vidas, vamos a cuidar a nuestro personal, vamos a atender bien, pero la verdadera batalla está afuera, con nuestro personal en las unidades y con la Red Comunitaria”, afirmó la asesora presidencial.

Ana Solís Treasure, de la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, dijo que están recorriendo los hospitales, pero también los centros de salud, insistiendo en las medidas preventivas para detener el contagio del Coronavirus.

«En esta parte se hace necesario el lavado de manos, correcto lavado de manos e informarse bien, la información correcta y oficial la da el Ministerio de Salud de este país», afirmo Solís.

El Gobierno de Nicaragua ha informado de un solo caso en Nicaragua de Coronavirus, que ha sido atendido y se logró contactar a todas las personas con que tuvo contacto ese paciente y se recupera de forma satisfactoria.

No a la desinformación

Las autoridades de Nicaragua y la Costa Caribe de Nicaragua hacen un llamado a la población a no seguir reproduciendo las noticias falsas que están alarmando a la población, las medidas de prevención, atención se están tomando desde el Ministerio de Salud orientado por el Gobierno.

Health authorities visit Bluefields hospital

The Nicaraguan health authorities and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) visited the Bluefields regional hospital to verify the conditions in the event of a possible case of coronavirus in the South Caribbean.

López pointed out that the tour was to analyze and verify the protocol of care for possible patients with COVID – 19, as well as assess the selected and equipped space where possible cases will be attended.

The place of entry of patients, the entrance for medical personnel, the exit of personnel, entrance of medicines and food, the conditions where positive patients will be treated and even the Intensive Care area were also assessed, López said.

The health authorities made some minimal recommendations and declared themselves ready to face the situation, although Minister Castro was clear in saying that the real battle is in the territory to prevent spreading.

«Here in the hospital we are going to save lives, we are going to take care of our personnel, we are going to take good care of it, but the real battle is outside, with our personnel in the units and with the Community Network,» said the presidential adviser.

Ana Solís Treasure, from the Pan American Health Organization, said that they are visiting hospitals, but also health centers, insisting on preventive measures to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

«In this part, handwashing is necessary, correct handwashing and good information, the correct and official information is given by the Ministry of Health of this country,» said Solís.

The Nicaraguan Government has reported a single case in Nicaragua of Coronavirus, which has been attended to and managed to contact all the people that patient had contact with and is recovering satisfactorily.

The authorities of Nicaragua and the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua call on the population not to continue reproducing the false news that is alarming the population. Preventive measures and attention are being taken from the Government-oriented Ministry of Health.
