Gobierno de Nicaragua entrega moderna carretera en Zelaya Central
18,318 habitantes de El Rama, Wapí, El Tortuguero y sus comunidades fueron beneficiados este miércoles con la inauguración de 11 kilómetros de carretera asfaltada correspondientes al primer tramo de la vía que se construye desde La Esperanza a Wapi, informó el titular del MTI, general en retiro Oscar Mojica.
Sostuvo que la inversión en la obra es de 406 millones de córdobas, ya que los kilómetros construidos constan de una estructura de 5 cm de mezcla asfáltica en caliente, una calzada de 6.80 metros de ancho y hombros de 1 metro.
Asimismo, en la obra se construyó el puente El Arenal, de 25 metros con 2 cajas puentes de concreto, además de 2,696 metros lineales de cunetas, 6 bahías para buses, señalización horizontal y vertical y siembra de 4,000 árboles.
El funcionario destacó que el Gobierno se ha enfocado en desarrollar una serie de proyectos en esa zona, debido al potencial productivo que tiene el departamento.
El general en retiro indicó que en las zonas beneficiadas con esta obra se producen 55 manzanas de maíz, 26 mil de frijoles, 13 mil de yuca y 11 mil de musáceas, lo cual es vital para mantener la estabilidad de los precios y garantizar la seguridad alimentaria del país.
“Estamos hablando de que el Gobierno quiere facilitar las condiciones para el desarrollo de la producción nacional, el intercambio comercial entre el Caribe Sur y el Pacífico, pensando en el bienestar de los nicaragüenses, porque genera desarrollo, y es un ancla para erradicar la pobreza y las lacras que se derivan de esta, como la delincuencia”, agregó Mojica.
Por su parte la vice alcaldesa de El Rama, Rosa María Castillo, manifestó que la carretera es un sueño hecho realidad para la población, ya que va a permitir que las familias trasladen sus productos de una manera más fácil.
