Enorme proyecto del Puerto de Aguas Profundas en Bluefields
Virgilio Silva presidente ejecutivo de la Empresa Portuaria Nacional EPN anuncio la construcción de un puerto de aguas profundas en el Caribe y estará en Bluefields Costa Caribe Sur de Nicaragua, durante una entrevista con canal ocho en Managua.
«Hemos observado que los 300 contenedores que viajan anualmente hacia el Puerto Limón y Puerto Cortés, eso incrementa los costos de operaciones a los importadores y a los exportadores. Ahora con este Puerto en Bluefields (…) vamos a ser prácticamente independientes»; aseveró.
Expresó también que luego del estudio realizado por una empresa extranjera, la inversión ahí será de unos 590 millones de dólares.
Igualmente, se hará un desvío de unos 7 kms para llegar de la carretera hacia el puerto en Bluefields; con una gran inversión que también significa generación de empleo.
«Esa es la idea de parte del BCIE (…) formar una empresa donde van a conseguir el financiamiento con respaldo del BCIE, sin ninguna obligación de deuda soberana para nuestro país. Y eso va a tener una durabilidad de 25 años para recuperar esa inversión «; agregó el titular de la EPN en Nicaragua.
Un cambio económico para el Caribe Sur de Nicaragua
«Además de los contenedores de zona franca que se mueven de Managua hacia Puerto Cortés, que son aproximadamente 150 contenedores cada 2 días (…) eso va a ayudar mucho a mover la carga por estos puertos, y también la cantidad de productos que se producen en Bluefields, como la palma africana»; indicó.
La diferencia que causaría que Nicaragua tuviera un puerto de aguas profundas en Bluefields, es que la movilización de un contenedor actualmente para un importador y exportador le cuesta alrededor 1 mil 500 dólares a través de otros puertos de Centroamérica, pero con ese puerto en el Caribe nicaragüense, estaría en unos 450 dólares. Se ahorraría casi 1 mil dólares.
«Esperamos en unos dos meses tener preparados todos los documentos (…) y consideramos que, en noviembre a más tardar, ya tener preparadas a las personas que gane esta licitación y comenzar la construcción los primeros días del próximo año»; concluyó.
Huge Deepwater Port project in Bluefields

An economic change for the Southern Caribbean of Nicaragua

The difference that would cause Nicaragua to have a deep-water port in Bluefields, is that the mobilization of a container currently costs around 1,500 dollars for an importer and exporter through other Central American ports, but with that port in the Caribbean Nicaraguan, would be around 450 dollars. It would save almost $1,000.
«We expect to have all the documents ready in about two months (…) and we consider that, by November at the latest, we will already have the people who win this tender ready and begin construction the first days of next year»; concluded.
