Con una sólida ofensiva de 13 cañonazos, de ellos dos cuadrangulares de Jean Rigby y Dwight Britton, la Costa Caribe logra derrotar a Nueva Segovia en el segundo juego de la serie de tres en Bilwi, con marcador de 7×4.

Nueva Segovia abrió el juego con par de jonrones de Luis Aleen con uno a bordo y luego el de Justo Rivas para poner el marcador a favor del team visitante, pero en el cierre de la primera entrada los caribeños ripostaron con el vuela cerca de Jean Rigby y el imparable de Debrie Bennett para poner 3×3 y empatar las acciones.

La tropa de Davis Hodgson hizo dos más en el cuarto episodio, ripostó Nueva Segovia con una anotación en el sexto y en el cierre del sexto los costeños anotaron dos más con el jonrón de Dwight Britton para poner el marcador 7×4.

Por la Costa Caribe los mejores bateadores fueron Howard Maxam, que bateó de 5-3 con dos carreras anotadas, Dwight Britton y Jean Rigby de 5-2 con un jonrón cada uno, Rigby anotó dos carreras y Britton una con el vuela cerca.

Por el equipo de Nueva Segovia, Luis Allen se fue de 4-2 con 2 anotadas y Justo Rivas de 4-2 con una anotada, Dany Calderón de 4-2, Bryan Ruiz de 5-2.

Los segovianos conectaron 10 imparables de ellos par de jonrones y anotaron solo 4 carreras.

Ganó el juego Wilfredo Pinner y lo perdió el abridor Joaquin Acuña.

Este domingo el juego número tres será a las 10:00 am en el estadio Ernesto W. Hooker, en el último compromiso del conjunto caribeño con Nueva Segovia, la Costa busca cómo barrer la serie y Nueva Segovia busca evitar la barrida.

Por la Costa el lanzador será Osman Álvarez, que llegó como refuerzo de Zelaya Central al team caribeño y por Nueva Segovia se menciona a Fulvio Delgado.

Costeños beat Nueva Segovia in Bilwi

With a solid 13-cannon offense, including two homers by Jean Rigby and Dwight Britton, the Caribbean Coast defeats Nueva Segovia in the second game of the series of three in Bilwi, with a score of 7×4.

Nueva Segovia opened the game with a pair of home runs by Luis Aleen with one on board and then by Justo Rivas to put the score in favor of the visiting team, but at the end of the first inning the Caribbean defended with the fly near Jean Rigby and the unstoppable Debrie Bennett to put 3×3 and tie the actions.

Davis Hodgson’s troop made two more in the fourth episode, snapped Nueva Segovia with a touchdown in the sixth and at the close of the sixth the costers scored two more with Dwight Britton’s home run to put the score 7×4.

For the Caribbean Coast the best hitters were Howard Maxam, who batted 5-3 with two runs scored, Dwight Britton and Jean Rigby 5-2 with one home run each, Rigby scored two runs and Britton one with the flyer nearby.

For the Nueva Segovia team, Luis Allen went 4-2 with 2 runs scored and Justo Rivas 4-2 with a run scored, Dany Calderón 4-2, Bryan Ruiz 5-2.

The Segovians hit 10 hits with a couple of home runs and scored just 4 runs.

The game was won by Wilfredo Pinner and was lost by starter Joaquin Acuña.

This Sunday game number three will be at 10:00 am in the Ernesto W. Hooker stadium, in the last commitment of the Caribbean team with Nueva Segovia, the Coast seeks to sweep the series and Nueva Segovia seeks to avoid the sweep.
