Autoridades nicaragüenses estiman que el invierno se instalará en el país en la tercera semana de mayo. Prevén que la temporada se comporte de forma normal, ya que no existen condiciones climáticas para que se desarrolle el fenómeno El Niño.

De acuerdo con estas previsiones, en el Pacífico, Centro y Norte del país el periodo lluvioso se dará a más tardar en la tercera semana de mayo, mientras que en el resto del territorio nacional en la última semana del mes.

Asimismo, indican que los acumulados de lluvias podrían variar mes a mes; aunque en mayo las precipitaciones puedan ser normales es probable que en algunas zonas del país haya inundaciones repentinas en zonas vulnerables.

Agregaron que en junio es probable que llueva en el rango de lo normal y que en julio se presente una disminución de las lluvias en la Región del Pacífico y Norte.

Ante estos pronósticos las alcaldías sandinistas preparan en todo el país el Plan Invierno para estar preparados ante cualquier eventualidad asociada a las lluvias.

La implementación de esta planificación tiene como objetivo prever, mitigar y enfrentar las consecuencias de los distintos fenómenos climatológicos.

They also indicate that the accumulated rainfall could vary from month to month; Although rainfall may be normal in May, flash floods in vulnerable areas are likely in some parts of the country.

They added that in June it is likely that it will rain in the normal range and that in July there will be a decrease in rainfall in the Pacific and North Region.

Given these forecasts, the Sandinista mayors are preparing the Winter Plan throughout the country to be prepared for any eventuality associated with the rains.

The implementation of this planning aims to anticipate, mitigate and face the consequences of the different climatic phenomena.
