Comisión municipal de Minería artesanal cierre 38 pilas que usaban cianuro en Siuna y se van mas de 98 empleos

Un total de 38 pilas están operando ilegalmente donde utilizan el cianuro para la recuperación de oro y plata, en el sector de San Pablo y otros lugares, según una inspección que fue realizado por la comisión municipal de minería artesanal en Siuna Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte.

Autoridades de del Ministerio del Ambiental y los Recurso Naturales, la Procuraduría General de la Republica, Batallón Ecológico, Calibre, Gobierno Municipal de Siuna, hicieron un recorrido en 11 propiedades de mineros artesanales, encontraron 38 pilas que estaban operando ilegalmente en Siuna.

SNC trato de conocer detalles con el Maren y otras instituciones y no fue posible, encontrar más detales.

El periódico Digital del Caribe logro conocer que entre los afectados esta Rogelio Chavarría, Jobino Chavarría y Alex Rojas.

SNC converso con Rogelio Chavarría y este explico que recibieron a la comisión que llegó a inspeccionarlos y les han dado un tiempo prudencial para que cierren las pilas.

Sin embargo, Rogelio Chavarría dijo que ellos han estado manejando bien el cianuro, para ello tienen un ingeniero que esta enseñándoles a manejar las pilas, por otro lado, explico que ellos no están votando el agua, sino que están reciclando el agua en las pilas con una bomba.

Chavarría dijo que en las pilas tiene más de 90 cabezas de familia que trabajan y llevan el sustento diario a sus casas y con este cierre sean afectados estas personas que van a quedar sin empleo.

Rogelio Chavarría, dijo que están pidieron ayuda a las autoridades políticas de Siuna y el Triángulo Minero para que verifiquen el buen uso que le dan al cianuro.

Axel Rojas, uno de los afectados dijo que ellos procesan en las pilas la arena o cola que queda del proceso de la tómbola que antes no la usaban y luego lo llevan a la comunidad la India, municipio Santa Rosa del Peñón, departamento de León, allí extraen el oro el líquido se lo sacamos al carbón y en Siuna lo funden.

Cada 15 días las operaciones de la Minería Artesanal de este sector genera unos 6 a 7 millones de córdoba cada quince días.

El Ejército de Nicaragua en un comunicado emitido por el Batallón Ecológico en Siuna detallo que realizaron acompañamiento a inspección ambiental en el municipio de Siuna, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte, con el objetivo de evaluar los daños ocasionados por los trabajos ilegales de minería a cielo abierto.

Durante la inspección, se visitaron 11 propiedades donde operan ilegalmente 38 pilas, en las cuales utilizan cianuro para la recuperación de oro y plata. La comisión notificó a sus propietarios el cierre inmediato de operaciones, por ser una actividad nociva contra la salud de las personas y el ambiente.
