SERIES OF THE SEVENTH WEEKEND OF POMARES 2021

Toros de Chontales vs Indios del Bóer

Chontales (17-7) second in the general classification gave up the top last day when he tied his series against Zelaya. The Boer (14-11) prevailed in his 3-1 series against Matagalpa, revealing the fragility of his bullpen. Midweek he succumbed 4-1 to Boaco in a rescheduling game

That of this Pomares 2021, will be the series number 15 in which Bulls and Indians face each other since 2009. The balance favors 33-21 to “La Tribu” that has won 8 series, Chontales wins 1 and draws 5

Jinotega vs Caribbean Coast

The troop led by «Puerto Rican» Joel Fuentes moves to Bluefields to face the Caribbean Coast. Las Brumas beat the lions (3-1) last weekend, little by little their pitching staff led by Bryan Herrera seems to regain the dominance that has characterized them in recent seasons. The Caribbean Coast swept Carazo and his pitching (ERA 2.01) remains the best of the season

Since 2009, Jinotega has cut distances in the balance of matches against the Caribbean team. 23-20 leads the Caribbean Coast in the private series, 4 series wins the Coast (1 sweep) 4 wins Jinotega and they have tied 3 times

Rivas vs Zelaya Central

The South Front will be measured in the Carlos Pizarro of the city of El Rama to the Giants of Zelaya Central. Rivas complied and swept Rio San Juan and took fourth place (15-9) in front of him will have inspired Giants of Central Zelaya who to date occupy the 11th place (12-11) and in the last series they tied against Chontales.

Since their pairings began in 2013, Rivas has a 26-12 lead, they have met in a total of 9 series, Rivas has won 5 (2 per sweep) Zelaya has stayed with 2 series and tied twice.

Chinandega vs Granada

The Chinandega Tigres had to apply themselves thoroughly last weekend to rescue the tie in tight challenges in their series against Boaco. Granada, which occupies the tenth position, continues to show improvement in its batting while its pitching staff continues to maintain itself as one of the four best of the season (2.23)

The Sharks are the dominators of the series against the Westerners since 2009. 36-23 favors the balance of wins and losses. They have won 9 (1 sweep) of the 16 series they have played, Chinandega wins 3 and have finished tied at 4

Estelí vs Matagalpa

The “Diamante de las Segovias” troop puts the leadership at stake when they face the indigenous people of Matagalpa. Estelí fulfilled his favorite roll and swept Madriz last week. Matagalpa managed to escape the sweep against Boer and lost his series 1-3.

Since 2009, the balance of the series favors Estelí 29-24. Estelí wins 6 series, Matagalpa remains with 3 and they tie at 5.

Masaya vs Nueva Segovia

The Fieras del San Fernando defeated the Dantos in a rescheduling game last Tuesday and in their last series they tied with Granada, which allowed them to tie León, Boaco and Chinandega who are vying for sixth position. Nueva Segovia sports the best batting in the league (AVG .304) but its lack of clutch batting and weak relief have not allowed it to be the team that made an impact last season.

Since 2011, Masaya dominates the series over the Segovians 22-9, they have won 5 series (3 swept), the northern troop wins 2 and tied on 1 occasion.

Carazo vs Dantos

After being swept by the Caribbean Coast, Carazo occupies position 17 in the general table (6-18) and has not managed to find a turning point to date that allows him to become a candidate to advance to the next round. Los Dantos took a breather by winning their series (3-1) against Nueva Segovia, but suffered again on Tuesday when they were defeated by Masaya with Jorge Bucardo being deciphered early.

The Dantos have imposed an undeniable dominance over Boaco since his return to Pomares in 2013. In 2009 they lost series 1-3 but since 2009 they have kept 10 of the 11 series they have played. In summary, the balance favors them 34-10, they win 10 series (5 per sweep), lose 1 and draw 1

Boaco vs Rio San Juan

The Boaco Producers are experiencing a great start to the campaign, they have not lost a series after 6 weekends and they share the sixth position. They defeated Boer in the middle of the week and tied their series against Chinandega. In San Carlos, they are greeted by Río San Juan, which was swept by Rivas in his last series and which lost the surprising rhythm with which the Pomares 2021 began.

Despite everything, the difference in the confrontations with each other since 2011 is not overwhelming as many might suppose. 22-17 Boaco is ahead after 11 games. 5 series have favored Boaco (2 sweep s) 3 to Río San Juan (1 sweep) and 3 finish tied

Madriz vs Leon

Gunslingers and Lions will start their duel in El Sauce. León broke down and lost his last series 1-3 to Jinotega, while Madriz was swept by Estelí. Despite his bad step, León remains a favorite at least on paper against Madriz, although it is worth remembering that the Northerners tied the series against Chinandega and also against Boer.

Since 2011, León has led the private series 27-10. 9 series have been played, León wins 7, the last 6 consecutively (4 per sweep), Madriz wins 1 (2011, 3-1) and they have tied in 1 opportunity.
