Las autoridades del Ministerio de Salud del Caribe Norte afirmaron durante el cierre de la VI sesión ordinaria del parlamento regional, que el Caribe Norte no hay corona virus y que se están implementando todas estrategias orientadas por el Gobierno para la prevención del coronavirus.

El Dr. Ned Smith Casis, la Dra. Lucia Lira Leon y el Dr. Lázaro Téllez del Ministerio de Salud dieron a conocer que las estrategias implementadas en la región son parte de la estrategia nacional que ha implementado el Gobierno, tomando en cuenta la particularidad del país y en base a ello hemos tenido menos afectaciones en Centroamérica.

Ante de la comparecencia de las autoridades del Ministerio de Salud Elizabeth Henríquez de la bancada de Yatama dijo que en la región había cinco casos de coronavirus   que las autoridades no han querido reconocerlo, y están decretando las muertes por neumonía y por alta presión.

Algunos pobladores que viven fuera del país, al tener la información vertida por la concejala Henríquez comenzaron a publicar en redes sociales que había cinco casos de coronavirus en la región y en Bilwi en particular usando fotografías de un ejercicio nacional multiamenazas, lo cual es falso indicaron las autoridades días después en medios oficiales.

En la intervención de los funcionarios de Ministerio de Salud ante el pleno del Consejo Regional explicaron detalladamente, las acciones que se han tomado para la prevención de esta pandemia, entre las que se mencionó, la capacitación al personal de salud en todo el país, para hacer frente al protocolo de atención, también fueron capacitados el personal de las instituciones del estado.

Las autoridades les dan seguimiento a las personas que han legado de otros países incluyendo los que regresar o por puntos ciegos ya que la misma población es la que se encarga de pedir a las autoridades de salud que los reviesen para evitar el contagio.

Otros han sido muy responsables y en cuanto regresan al país llegan a buscar atención a las unidades de salud e la región, lo cual ha sido muy importante.

Las autoridades regionales indicaron que se han desarrollado tres visitas casa a casa, para preparar a las familias y desde el hogar se tomen las medidas de prevención, porque es la única forma que se puede combatir la pandemia.

El coordinador del Gobierno Regional Carlos Alemán anuncio que se preparan para realizar la cuarta visita masiva a la población para poder identificar a las personas que son vulnerables al coronavirus, lo que permitirá actualizar datos y poder atender con mayor facilidad.
