El siuneño Leonel Calderón y su esposa Rachel Flores, compartieron este medio día un almuerzo con los familiares de enfermos de COVID 19 que están ingresados en el Hospital Carlos Centeno de Siuna en el Caribe Norte de Nicaragua.

Leonel Calderón es originario de Jumeka Town actualmente barrio Sandino de Siuna y Rachel Flores, pero hoy viven en Dallas Texas, Estados Unidos, donde por medio de amigos como el doctor Axel Rojas, Patricia Ríos, Rodolfo Gonzales y Milviam Polanco llegaron este medio día con alimentos, agua y jugos que compartieron con los familiares de los enfermos.

Axel Rojas uno de los organizadores de la entrega, señaló, “este es un esfuerzo de doña Rachel y don Leonel de poder organizarse con sus amigos en Estados Unidos y de aquí de Siuna también aportaron; Rodolfo Gonzales, Patricia Ríos y otros amigos”.

Flavio Gómez poblador de Prinzapolka agradeció a Leonel y Rachel porque es un gesto que les ayuda un poco a paliar la situación que están viviendo.

María Urbina, otra pobladora de Prinzapolka dijo que los pobladores de Siuna no los han abandonado, porque siempre les están llevando alimentos mientras ellos permanecen a la espera de información de sus enfermos.

Urbina envió miles de bendiciones por esta ayuda a Leonel y Rachel, pero también a los pobladores de Siuna porque todos los días ellos tienen alimentos en ese lugar debajo de una carpa que fue instalada de forma improvisada para que los familiares puedan pasar el día y parte de la noche fuera del hospital de Siuna.

“No tenemos con que pagarles, gracias por ayudarnos a luchar por la salud de nuestros familiares, que Dios les multiplique miles de veces en bendiciones este gesto de solidaridad y amor” reitero Urbina.

Además de la entrega a familiares de hospitalizados, también se entregó un refrigero y almuerzo para los pacientes y personal que opera en el Hospital Primario Carlos Centeno en Siuna.

Una champa o un toldo con una carapa fue instalada también han instalado unos sillones largos donde los familiares pueden pernoctar mientras tienen que esperar angustiados información sobre sus enfermos que están en la sala de COVID-19.

Otros Siuneño como Yaser Arauz, don Alberto Ramírez, y otros siuneño que están en la diáspora, han enviado su apoyo solidario con estas familias que tienen que batallar con la ansiedad de saber que sus familiares se recuperan, otros no tienen suerte y su familiar no logra salir con vida de este centro asistencial.

The Siuneño Leonel Calderón and his wife Rachel Flores, shared a lunch this afternoon with the relatives of COVID 19 patients who are admitted to the Carlos Centeno de Siuna Hospital in the Northern Caribbean of Nicaragua.

María Urbina, another Villager from Prinzapolka said that the people of Siuna have not abandoned them, because they are always bringing them food while they are waiting for information from their patients.

Urbina sent thousands of blessings for this help to Leonel and Rachel, but also to the people of Siuna because every day they have food in that place under a tent that was improvisedly installed so that the relatives can spend the day and part at night outside the Siuna hospital.

«We do not have to pay them, thank you for helping us fight for the health of our relatives, may God multiply this gesture of solidarity and love thousands of times in blessings,» reiterated Urbina.

In addition to the delivery to relatives of hospitalized patients, a refrigerator and lunch were also provided for patients and staff operating at the Carlos Centeno Primary Hospital in Siuna.

A champa or an awning with a carapa was installed. They have also installed long armchairs where family members can spend the night while waiting anxiously for information about their patients who are in the COVID-19 room.
