Las ocho franquicias clasificadas a los Playoffs (Cuartos de Final) del Pomares 2020 realizaron la escogencia de sus refuerzos la mañana de este lunes en el auditorio de CONADERFI en el IND para dar inicio este 3 de julio a los Playoffs.

Bóer, Estelí, Dantos, Chinandega, Costa Caribe, Nueva Segovia, Chontales y Matagalpa realizaron la selección de sus 2 refuerzos para mejorar sus novenas de cara a sus cruces en esta etapa eliminatoria.

BÓER: LUIS CASTELLÓN Y GERALD ROJAS

Los Indios del Bóer se hicieron de los servicios del zurdo U23 Luis Castellón procedente de Jinotega y del diestro categoría mayor de Masaya Gerald Rojas con miras a reforzar su bullpen que se ha convertido en su talón de Aquiles. Castellón pese a su tendencia al descontrol, finalizó la temporada con balance de 3-6 y 6.07 de efectividad, pese a sus números discretos fue segundo en ponches propinados con 80 en 59.1 episodios lanzados. Gerald Rojas finalizó la temporada con 2-5 al servicio de Masaya con 3.72 de efectividad en 58 episodios.

ESTELI: ELIAS GUTIÉRREZ Y JILTON CALDERÓN

El zurdo Elias Gutiérrez formará parte de la rotación de abridores de Estelí que encabeza Elvin García, Esteban Pérez y Osman Gutiérrez. Elías brazo número uno de Jinotega, finalizó la campaña con 5-5, 69 ponches y 3.95 de efectividad. El caraceño Jilton Calderón reforzará la ofensiva de Estelí que en su columna vertebral cuenta con Ramón y Moisés Flores y sería el jardinero izquierdo de los norteños. Pese a no ser la mejor campaña de Calderón, acumuló 39 hits, 4 jonrones, 23 anotadas y 21 remolcadas con .264 de average.

DANTOS: LUIS SEQUEIRA Y JUAN BLANDÓN

La “Maquinaria Roja” añadió más poder a su ya intimidante ofensiva con la selección del boaqueño Luis Sequeira y del jinotegano Juan Blandón. Luis Sequeira llega a las filas de los capitalinos tras reforzar a Jinotega donde bateo para .276 con 16 hits, 1 cuadrangular y 16 remolques. En la temporada (Boaco – Jinotega) acumuló 52 inatrapables, 8 cuadrangulares, 43 anotadas y 41 impulsadas con .327 de average

El veterano Juan Blandón se convertirá sin dudas en el cátcher titular de los capitalinos y parte fundamental de su columna ofensiva. Culminó la temporada con .372 de average, 54 hits, 3 cuadrangulares, 38 anotadas y 27 impulsadas.

CHINANDEGA: NORLANDO VALLE Y ENMANUEL MEZA

Dos viejos conocidos vuelven a Chinandega. Valle y Meza se convertirán en el complemento ofensivo del también metropolitano Marvin Martínez en la tropa dirigida por Vicente Padilla. Valle fue refuerzo de Jinotega en la segunda vuelta donde bateo para .333 con 21 imparables, 2 jonrones, 16 anotadas y 4 remolques. En la temporada totalizó 56 inatrapables, 21 remolques y promedio de .331. Padilla tendrá a su disposición a un U26 capaz de dar cobertura a cualquier posición en los jardines.

Pese a tener una actuación discreta como refuerzo en Carazo, Padilla deposita su confianza en Emmanuel Meza quien puede defender la inicial o los jardines. Meza en Carazo conectó 12 hits, remolcó 5 carreras y bateó .235. En la temporada registró .341 con 57 hits, 4 jonrones, 25 remolques

NUEVA SEGOVIA: SHENDELL BENARD E IVÁN MARÍN

Los “Guerreros” de Nueva Segovia son la cenicienta en esta etapa de Playoffs a la que acceden por primera vez en su historia y tendrán como rival a Los Dantos. El diestro de Carazo Shendell Benard fue la primera elección de los segovianos. Benard con Carazo tuvo registro de 2-4 con 2.70 de efectividad con 53 ponches y 11 boletos en 66.2 episodios y será uno de los miembros de la rotación de Nueva Segovia junto a Nelson León y posiblemente Joaquín Acuña. El “Bobby” Espino depositó su confianza a las manos del infielder Iván Marín. Marín fue refuerzo de Masaya donde bateo .279 con 12 hits, 6 remolques y 9 anotadas sin errores. En la temporada (Granada-Masaya) acumuló 36 hits, 15 empujadas, 24 anotadas y 6 errores.

COSTA CARIBE: FIDENCIO FLORES Y MARIO VARGAS

Pese a no ser una de sus mejores temporadas, Davis Hodgson confía en el metropolitano Fidencio Flores para fortaleces su rotación de pitcheo en la Costa Caribe. Flores reforzó a Masaya en la segunda vuelta donde tuvo balance de 3-2 con 22 ponches y efectividad de 3.58 en 32.2 inning. Finalizó la temporada con 6-4, 3.86 de efectividad y 43 ponches en 70 episodios. La boaqueña tercera base Mario Vargas fue la segunda escogencia del team caribeño. Vargas tuvo aceptable desempeño como refuerzo de Carazo, bateo .367, remolcó 5 carreras con 18 imparables. Culminó la campaña con .348, 55 hits, 3 jonrones, 15 anotadas y 29 remolques.

CHONTALES: SHEYDER GARCIA Y RENATO MORALES

El zurdo Jinotega Sheyder García fue la primera elección de la dirigencia de los Toros de Chontales. García se convertirá posiblemente en uno de los abridores de la rotación que encabezan Erasmo Reyes y José David Rugama. Con Jinotega, tuvo balance de 4-2 con 62 ponches en 62 episodios y efectividad de 2.47. El veterano Renato Morales llega a volver aún más peligrosa la artillería de los chontaleños junto a Iván Hernández, Sandy Bermúdez y Oscar González. Renato que puede jugar primera base o los jardines, culminó con .362 la campaña con Masaya, 59 hits, 27 anotadas y 23 remolques.

MATAGALPA: JUAN BERMÚDEZ Y HARVIN TALAVERA

Sin dudas los Indígenas de Matagalpa fueron uno de los equipos mejor reforzados al incluir dos lanzadores de excelente temporada a su roster. Pese a ser el último clasificado los matagalpinos corrieron con suerte al escoger como tercero y primero. Su primera selección fue el campeón en efectividad el rivense Juan Bermúdez. “El Largo” tuvo balance de 5-4 en 14 aperturas con 15 limpias, 44 ponches en 92.1 que le permitieron ser campeón en efectividad con 1.46. Bermúdez formará parte de la rotación compuesta por Berman Espinoza y Fernando Carmona

El zurdo jinotegano Harvin Talavera fue la segunda elección de los matagalpinos. Talavera lanzó para 3.73 con balance de 2-2 y 7 salvamentos, 17 limpias y 47 ponches en 41 episodios de labor.

Los playoffs programados al mejor de 5 juegos iniciarán este 3 julio con los choques entre Chontales vs Estelí a las 2 PM en Estelí y Matagalpa vs Bóer a las 6 en Managua. El 4 de julio se enfrentarán Costa Caribe vs Tigres a las 2 en Chinandega y a las 6 en Managua Nueva Segovia vs Dantos.

Teams strengthen for the 2020 pomares playoffs

The eight franchises classified to the Playoffs (Quarter Finals) of the Pomares 2020 made the choice of their reinforcements this Monday morning in the CONADERFI auditorium in the IND to start the Playoffs on July 3.

Bóer, Estelí, Dantos, Chinandega, Costa Caribe, Nueva Segovia, Chontales and Matagalpa made the selection of their 2 reinforcements to improve their novenas facing their crosses in this elimination stage.

BÓER: LUIS CASTELLÓN AND GERALD ROJAS

Los Indios del Bóer took over the services of left-handed U23 Luis Castellón from Jinotega and Masaya Gerald Rojas ‘right-hander with a view to reinforcing his bullpen that has become his Achilles’ heel. Castellón, despite his tendency to lack control, finished the season with a 3-6 balance and 6.07 ERA, despite his discreet numbers, he was second in strikeouts with 80 in 59.1 episodes thrown. Gerald Rojas ended the season with 2-5 serving Masaya with a 3.72 ERA in 58 episodes.

ESTELI: ELIAS GUTIÉRREZ AND JILTON CALDERÓN

Left-hander Elias Gutiérrez will be part of the Estelí starting rotation led by Elvin García, Esteban Pérez and Osman Gutiérrez. Luis Sequeira reaches the ranks of the capital after reinforcing Jinotega where he batted for .276 with 16 hits, 1 home run and 16 trailers. In the season (Boaco – Jinotega) he accumulated 52 hits, 8 home runs, 43 runs scored and 41 RBIs with a .327 average

The veteran Juan Blandón will undoubtedly become the starting catcher of the capitals and a fundamental part of his offensive column. The season ended with a .372 average, 54 hits, 3 home runs, 38 runs scored and 27 RBIs.

CHINANDEGA: NORLANDO VALLE AND ENMANUEL MEZA

Two old acquaintances return to Chinandega. Valle and Meza will become the offensive complement of the also metropolitan Marvin Martínez in the troop led by Vicente Padilla. Valle was Jinotega’s reinforcement in the second round where he hit .333 with 21 hits, 2 home runs, 16 runs scored and 4 trailers. During the season, he totaled 56 hits, 21 trailers and an average of .331. Padilla will have at his disposal a U26 capable of covering any position in the outfield.

Despite having a discreet performance as a reinforcement in Carazo, Padilla places his trust in Emmanuel Meza who can defend the initial or the outfield. Meza at Carazo hit 12 hits, drove in 5 runs, and hit .235. On the season, he recorded .341 with 57 hits, 4 home runs, 25 RBIs.

NEW SEGOVIA: SHENDELL BENARD AND IVÁN MARÍN

The “Warriors” of Nueva Segovia are the Cinderella in this stage of the Playoffs, which they access for the first time in their history and will have Los Dantos as their rival. Carazo’s right-hander Shendell Benard was the Segovians’ first choice. Benard con Carazo was 2-4 with a 2.70 ERA with 53 strikeouts and 11 walks in 66.2 episodes and will be one of the members of the Nueva Segovia rotation along with Nelson León and possibly Joaquín Acuña. «Bobby» Espino placed his trust in the hands of infielder Iván Marín. Marín was Masaya’s reinforcement where he hit .279 with 12 hits, 6 trailers and 9 scored without errors. In the season (Granada-Masaya) he had 36 hits, 15 RBIs, 24 runs scored and 6 errors.

CARIBBEAN COAST: FIDENCIO FLORES AND MARIO VARGAS

Despite not being one of his best seasons, Davis Hodgson trusts metropolitan Fidencio Flores to strengthen his pitching rotation on the Caribbean Coast. Flores reinforced Masaya in the second round where he had a 3-2 balance with 22 strikeouts and a 3.58 ERA in 32.2 inning. He ended the season with 6-4, 3.86 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 70 episodes. Boaqueña third baseman Mario Vargas was the second choice of the Caribbean team. Vargas had an acceptable performance as Carazo reinforcement, batting .367, drove in 5 runs with 18 hits. The season ended with .348, 55 hits, 3 home runs, 15 runs scored and 29 trailers.

CHONTALES: SHEYDER GARCIA AND RENATO MORALES

The left-handed Jinotega Sheyder García was the first choice for the Toros de Chontales leadership. García will possibly become one of the starters of the rotation headed by Erasmo Reyes and José David Rugama. With Jinotega, he was 4-2 with 62 strikeouts in 62 episodes and a 2.47 ERA. The veteran Renato Morales becomes even more dangerous the artillery of the Chontaleños along with Iván Hernández, Sandy Bermúdez and Oscar González. Renato, who can play first base or outfield, capped .362 the season with Masaya, 59 hits, 27 runs scored and 23 RBIs.

MATAGALPA: JUAN BERMÚDEZ AND HARVIN TALAVERA

Undoubtedly the Matagalpa Indians were one of the best reinforced teams by including two excellent season pitchers to their roster. Despite being the last classified, the Matagalpinos were lucky to choose as third and first. The playoffs scheduled for the best of 5 games will begin this July 3 with the clashes between Chontales vs Estelí at 2 PM in Estelí and Matagalpa vs Bóer at 6 in Managua. On July 4 they will face Costa Caribe vs Tigres at 2 in Chinandega and at 6 in Managua Nueva Segovia vs Dantos.
