HEMCO: Una empresa certificada con ISO 14001 e ISO 45001, un sello que distingue

Certificados por el bienestar de todos. Con esta frase HEMCO celebra el alcance de las certificaciones ISO 14001 en Gestión Ambiental y la ISO 45001 en Gestión de la Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, logradas en mayo del 2022 luego de un exigente proceso de preparación y trabajo en equipo que dio inicio a finales del 2021.

Las certificaciones confirman el compromiso de la compañía con sus colaboradores y el medio ambiente, ya que permitirán alcanzar la meta de cero accidentes y enfermedades laborales, además de fortalecer sus procesos de Gestión Ambiental para beneficio de la biodiversidad de la zona de amortiguamiento de Bosawas donde se ubica la empresa y el futuro de la comunidad.   

“Es un orgullo pertenecer a esta empresa y ser parte de un equipo que trabaja unido con capacidad para demostrar cómo se practica una minería bien hecha. Agradezco a todos los que hacen parte de este logro y misión permanente”, comentó Carlos Mario Gómez Peláez, presidente de HEMCO.

Para Andrés Mesa, vicepresidente de Operaciones, alcanzar la certificación es el primer paso, “Hoy tenemos un mayor compromiso con la mejora continua, el reto de hacer bien las cosas en todo momento y en cada puesto de trabajo, porque lo importante no sólo es llegar sino saber mantenerse”, señaló. 

“La certificación fue un proceso demandante, pero hoy satisfactoriamente vemos los resultados, es un sello que nos va a distinguir y demostrar nuestro compromiso con la integridad de las personas y el ambiente”, señaló por su parte Adbeel Hernández, analista de Procesos y Estrategia.

With this phrase, HEMCO celebrates the scope of the ISO 14001 certifications in Environmental Management and ISO 45001 in Occupational Health and Safety Management, achieved in May 2022 after a demanding process of preparation and teamwork that began end of 2021.

The certifications confirm the company’s commitment to its employees and the environment, since they will allow it to achieve the goal of zero accidents and occupational illnesses, in addition to strengthening its Environmental Management processes for the benefit of the biodiversity of the Bosawas buffer zone where the company and the future of the community are located.
