Hospital en Bilwi beneficiará a más de medio millón personas

La construcción del hospital Nuevo Amanecer en la Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte, beneficiará a más de medio millón de personas de esta zona.
La obra, ubicada en el municipio de Bilwi (Norte) es financiada parcialmente por el Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica (BCIE) con un monto de 52,97 millones de dólares, y tiene un avance constructivo del 36 por ciento.
Con un área total de 18 mil 415 metros cuadrados, la nueva infraestructura la conforma una edificación de dos niveles y otras auxiliares, y se espera que una vez inaugurada, anualmente brinde la atención de 80 mil consultas de emergencia y 103 mil externas.
Además, ofrecerá servicios especializados de consulta externa, emergencia, ginecoobstetricia, neonatología, cirugía, cuidados intensivos, ortopedia, medicina interna y quimioterapia, entre otros.
“Nos llena de alegría conocer el avance de este proyecto, que acercará por primera vez en la historia de esta zona de Nicaragua los servicios de salud con calidad a comunidades indígenas, afrodescendientes y mestizos”, expresó recientemente el presidente ejecutivo del BCIE, Dante Mossi, durante una visita de supervisión.
Por su parte, el director por Nicaragua ante el BCIE, Uriel Pérez, aseguró que continuarán apoyando en el país proyectos de infraestructura hospitalaria para mejorar la calidad de vida de las familias y restituirle el derecho a la salud.

With a total area of 18,415 square meters, the new infrastructure is made up of a two-story building and other auxiliary buildings, and it is expected that once it is inaugurated, it will annually provide care for 80,000 emergency consultations and 103,000 external consultations.
In addition, it will offer specialized outpatient, emergency, gynecological and obstetrics, neonatology, surgery, intensive care, orthopedics, internal medicine and chemotherapy services, among others.
«It fills us with joy to learn of the progress of this project, which for the first time in the history of this area of Nicaragua will bring quality health services to indigenous, Afro-descendant and mestizo communities,» CABEI Executive President Dante Mossi recently expressed. , during a supervision visit.
For his part, the director for Nicaragua before CABEI, Uriel Pérez, assured that they will continue to support hospital infrastructure projects in the country to improve the quality of life of families and restore the right to health.
