Articulan esfuerzos para pesca artesanal en el Caribe Sur

Una comisión interinstitucional de MEFCCA, Gobierno Regional, Defensa Civil e INPESCA estuvo en los   municipios de la Desembocadura de  Río Grande, Tasba Pounie, Laguna de Perla y la comunidad de Orinoco, para coordinar con los Gobiernos Territoriales, autoridades comunales y pescadores con el objetivo de socializar el programa  Cadenas de valor inclusivas y resilientes vinculadas a la pesca artesanal y acuícola en la Costa Caribe (Nicapesca), en el caribe Sur

Johnny  Hodgson, delegado de la  presidencia  en el Caribe Sur, expuso el programa para que  los líderes de los territorios aportaran con sus ideas de lo que ellos consideran serían posibles proyectos inclusivos y  rentables, nutricionales, en el que hombres y mujeres que viven de la pesca puedan trabajar juntos y en armonía.

Los pescadores y líderes comunales y territoriales aceptan el  programa y entre sus ideas de proyectos que quieren en sus territorios plantas procesadores de marisco con su fábrica de hielo, para atender la pesquería de todo el territorio, cultivo de peces, acopio y mercado de exportación.

«Cada vez que vienen estos programas de desarrollo a nuestras comunidades, como Gobierno  Regional nos sentimos feliz; como decía el ingeniero Johnny, esperamos que este programa de NICAPESCA, desarrolle la economía y     siga contribuyendo a la reducción de la pobreza de  las familias de  nuestras comunidades» dijo Danilo  Chang Cash, ejecutivo de Gobierno Regional.

Gregory Campbell, dijo que desde hace varios años el Gobierno ha venido apoyando al sector  pesquero.

“Es hora de dejar de pensar en proyectos pequeños y pensar en programas de desarrollo en grande que puedan administrar bien y hacerlos rentables» afirmó Campbell.

El Gobierno de Nicaragua en los últimos años ha promovido un modelo de desarrollo humano en el país, que incluye a todas las regiones como el Caribe, lo cual ratifica esta iniciativa que sustenta el quinto eje del Plan de Desarrollo Humano.

Gobierno de Nicaragua firmó convenio con el  Fondo Internacional de Desarrollo Agrícola (FIDA), con el objetivo de fortalecer el desarrollo de la pesca artesanal y la acuicultura, en los territorios del Caribe  Sur.

An inter-institutional commission of MEFCCA, Regional Government, Civil Defense and INPESCA was in the municipalities of the Río Grande mouth, Tasba Pounie, Laguna de Perla and the Orinoco community, to coordinate with the Territorial Governments, communal authorities and fishermen with the objective to socialize the inclusive and resilient value chains program linked to artisanal and aquaculture fishing on the Caribbean coast (Nicapesca), in the southern Caribbean

Johnny Hodgson, delegate of the presidency in the South Caribbean, presented the program for the leaders of the territories to contribute with their ideas of what they consider to be possible inclusive and profitable, nutritional projects, in which men and women who live from the fishing can work together and in harmony.

Fishermen and community and territorial leaders accept the program and among their project ideas they want seafood processing plants in their territories with their ice factory, to serve the fishery of the entire territory, fish farming, stocking and export market.

«Every time these development programs come to our communities, as a Regional Government we feel happy; as engineer Johnny said, we hope that this NICAPESCA program will develop the economy and continue contributing to the reduction of poverty in the families of our communities «said Danilo Chang Cash, regional government executive.

Gregory Campbell said that for several years the Government has been supporting the fishing sector.

«It is time to stop thinking about small projects and thinking about big development programs that can manage well and make them profitable,» said Campbell.

The Government of Nicaragua in recent years has promoted a model of human development in the country, which includes all regions such as the Caribbean, which ratifies this initiative that supports the fifth axis of the Human Development Plan.

Government of Nicaragua signed an agreement with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), with the objective of strengthening the development of artisanal fishing and aquaculture, in the territories of the South Caribbean.
