Autoridades y productores visitan centro de desarrollo tecnologico del INTA en Kukra Hill

Miembros del Sistema regional de Producción, consumo y comercio del Caribe Sur, realizaron una gira al como centro de desarrollo tecnológico Instituto Nicaragüense de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA), ubicado en el municipio de KuKra Hill , en la Region Autónoma de la Costa caribe Sur de Nicaragua.

El centro de desarrollo tecnológico es un espacio municipal, regional y nacional para fortalecer el desarrollo de la Costa Caribe, el objetivo es presentarle a los miembros del Sistema Regional de Producción, temas de interés en cuanto a la producción, como el fortalecimiento de las escuelas (cacao y café) el fomento a la producción, investigaciones con enfoque regionales, los avances y logros que ha tenido durante todos estos años.

Como parte de la estrategia del Gobierno de Nicaragua de impulsar la economía mediante la productividad, los miembros del Sistema de Producción, con el delegado Regional del INTA en el Caribe Sur, realizaron un recorrido en las instalaciones para ver la variedad de cultivos vegetales y frutales que se han venido cultivando.

Por su parte el ing. Jhohny Hodgson, delegado de la presidencia en el Caribe Sur asegura que la idea de esta gira es ver con sus propios ojos la producción y saber que verdaderamente se cuenta con las suficientes semillas para sembrar en toda la Costa Caribe.

Todos estos proyectos y esfuerzo que se han venido desarrollando son para beneficiar al campesino, la gente que tenga tierras y sobre todo el deseo de trabajar, lo cual estamos aquí para apoyarle y que empiecen a sembrar, dijo Hodgson.

Este centro tecnológico siempre ha existido, por lo que hace unos 13 años el gobierno empezó a invertir y de esta manera activarlo nuevamente, con el propósito de dar respuesta a lo que refiere la producción vegetativo  para beneficiar a todos los productores de la región afirmo Rubén López coordinador del Gobierno Regional del Caribe Sur.

El coordinador de gobierno destacó que estos proyectos que se están desarrollando son de suma importancia para el Caribe Sur, de cara al plan de estrategia de desarrollo que se ha plateado para la Costa Caribe.

Raúl Cordonero delegado regional del INTA dijo que estos bancos de semillas, frutales y vegetales como también el banco de bambú,  constituyen una  alternativa para la Costa, tanto como un insumo como para el medio ambiente y generar ingreso en la fabricación de muebles, camas entre otros.

Los productores que visitan el centro tecnológico a través de sus mismos espacios son beneficiados con semillas, plantas y capacitaciones, para asegurar la  productividad,  se mejore la economía de las familias dijo Cordonero.

Este centro tecnológico  cuenta con un laboratorio de biotecnología, bancos de semillas como: café, cacao, maíz, frijol entre otros.

Members of the South Caribbean Regional Production, Consumption and Trade System toured the Nicaraguan Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) popularly known as the Center for Experimental Development, located in the municipality of KuKra Hill, in the Autonomous Region of the Caribbean Coast. Southern Nicaragua.

The technological development center is a municipal, regional and national space to strengthen the development of the Caribbean Coast, which is why the main objective is to present to the members of the Regional Production System, topics of interest regarding production, such as the strengthening of schools (cocoa and coffee), the promotion of production, research with a regional focus, the progress and achievements it has had during all these years.

As part of the Nicaraguan Government’s strategy to boost the economy through productivity, the members of the Production System, with the INTA Regional delegate in the South Caribbean, made a tour of the facilities to see the variety of vegetable and fruit crops that have been cultivating.

For its part the ing. Johny Hodgson, delegate of the presidency in the South Caribbean assures that the idea of ​​this tour is to see the production with his own eyes and to know that there really is enough seeds to sow throughout the Caribbean Coast.

All these projects and efforts that have been developing are to benefit the farmer, the people who have land and above all the desire to work, which we are here to support and start planting, Hodgson said.

This technological center has always existed, so about 13 years ago the government began to invest and thus activate it again, in order to respond to vegetative production to benefit all producers in the region, said Rubén. López coordinator of the Regional Government of the South Caribbean.

The government coordinator highlighted that these projects that are being developed are of utmost importance for the South Caribbean, facing the development strategy plan that has been planned for the Caribbean Coast.

Raúl Cordonero, regional delegate of INTA, said that these seed, fruit and vegetable banks as well as the bamboo bank, constitute an alternative for the Coast, both as an input and for the environment and to generate income in the manufacture of furniture, beds among others.

Producers who visit the technology center through its own spaces are benefited with seeds, plants and training, to ensure productivity, improve the families’ economy, Cordonero said.

This technological center has a biotechnology laboratory, seed banks such as: coffee, cocoa, corn, beans, among others.
