Los Tigres de Chinandega salieron airosos en su primer enfrentamiento en Playoffs del Campeonato German Pomares 2020 al dejar en terreno 3×2 a la Costa Caribe en 10 episodios en el Efrain Tijerino Mazariego.

Jesús Garrido y Norman St Clair se trenzaron en un llamativo duelo de pitcheo durante siete episodios.

El cero en el marcador se rompió en la parte alta del quinto episodio cuando la Costa Caribe se puso en ventaja 1×0. Imparable de Mark Joseph fue el encargado de remolcar la primera del encuentro con doble al derecho empujando desde segunda a Debrie Benneth.

En la apertura del sexto el team caribeño agregó una más a la cuenta gracias a imparable al izquierdo de Debrie Benneth empujando a Jonathan Loáisiga desde la intermedia.

LOS TIGRES AL ATAQUE

La tropa local sacó la garra y en el cierre del séptimo se encargaron de igualar el marcador. Combinación de extravases, doble de Ronald Rivera y triple de Carlos Pérez permitieron a los occidentes anotar la primera del encuentro. Norlando Valle con elevado de sacrificio al derecho impulsó desde tercer a Carlos Pérez con la carrera del empate.

Jesús Garrido salió de juego tras laborar 7.2 entradas de 2 carreras, 9 hits y 7 ponches y en su relevó acudió Joseph Martínez. Norman St Clair laboró 7 innings de 2 carreras limpias, 6 hits y 1 ponche y dejó el encuentro en manos de Bismarck Salazar

En la apertura del décimo ya en muerte súbita, Joseph Martínez colgó un fantástico cero. Con hombres y primera y segunda levantó largo batazo al central que permitió a los corredores realizar doble pisa y correr colocando hombres en tercera y segunda. Gean Rigby se ponchó tirándole, Britton recibió base intencional y Jonathan Loáisiga falló en elevado al central.

En la baja del décimo los Tigres colocaron sus respectivos en primera y segunda, Carlos Pérez tocó pelota sobre la raya de tercera que se convirtió en infield hit. Norlando Valle falló en ponche tirándole, pero Enmanuel Meza se vistió de paciencia para negociar la base por bolas que empujó desde tercera a Ronald Rivera con la carrera del gane.

Joseph Martínez se agenció la victoria mientras que Bismarck Salazar cargó con la derrota. El segundo juego de esta serie se jugará en el Estadio Nacional Dennis Martínez a las 6 de la tarde el lunes 6 de julio.

LA LLUVIA SI PUDO ESTA VEZ

Pese a la lluvia del viernes el juego Bóer vs Matagalpa si se pudo realizar. Pero ese sábado su majestad la lluvia provocó la suspensión del duelo entre Nueva Segovia y los Dantos que daban inicio a su serie de Playoffs.

Chinandega tigers hit first against the Caribbean Coast in sudden death

The Chinandega Tigers were successful in their first matchup in the German Pomares 2020 Championship Playoffs, leaving 3 × 2 on the Caribbean Coast in 10 episodes at the Efrain Tijerino Mazariego.

Jesús Garrido and Norman St Clair braided each other in a striking pitching matchup for seven episodes.

The zero on the scoreboard was broken at the top of the fifth episode when the Caribbean Coast took the 1 × 0 advantage. Unstoppable Mark Joseph was in charge of towing the first of the game with a double to the right, pushing Debrie Benneth from second.

In the opening of the sixth the Caribbean team added one more to the account thanks to the unstoppable left of Debrie Benneth pushing Jonathan Loáisiga from the middle.

THE TIGERS ON THE ATTACK
