La mañana de este domingo 12 de julio, Tigres de Chinandega, Indios del Bóer, Estelí y Los Dantos, realizaron la escogencia de sus 2 refuerzos para hacer frente a las Semifinales del Campeonato German Pomares 2020 que arrancan este miércoles 15 de julio con el cruce entre Estelí y Dantos en el Estadio Nacional.

TIGRES DE CHINANDEGA: DWIGHT BRITTON Y NELSON LEÓN

Los Tigres de Chinandega obtuvieron la primera selección en la primera ronda de refuerzos. Cuando todos apostaron que sería Sandy Bermúdez la carta ofensiva a elegir, el mentor de los occidentales dejó de lado el buen momento de Bermúdez y apostó por un viejo conocido el costeño Dwight Britton.

Britton fue rival de los chinandeganos en los recién concluidos cuartos de final y fue contenido por el staff de pitcheo de los Tigres bateando solamente 3 imparables en 10 veces al bate en dicha etapa. Padilla confía en la valía y calidad ya probada de Britton para mejorar la defensiva en sus jardines, aumentar el poder ofensivo de su equipo que contará en su medular ofensiva con Norlando Valle, Enmanuel Meza, Marvin Martínez y los hermanos González.

El diestro Nelson León fue la segunda selección de los Tigres. León como refuerzos de Nueva Segovia firmó una sensacional segunda etapa con balance de 3-0 y 2.56 de efectividad dejando de lado su mala presentación con León en la primera vuelta. Contra los Dantos en Playoffs tuvo balance de 0-1. León podría ser parte de la rotación de abridores de los Tigres junto a Garrido, Walter López y Luis Somarriba.

ESTELI: SHEYDER GARCÍA Y LUIS ALEN

La tropa norteña fue la segunda en escoger en la primera ronda de refuerzos y sin dudarlo se hicieron con los servicios del zurdo jinotegano Sheyder García. García como refuerzo de Chontales precisamente ante Estelí, no tuvo decisión en una apertura. Culminó la temporada regular con 4-2 y 2.47 de efectividad. García se une a su coterráneo Elías Gutiérrez y a los también zurdos Elvin García y Esteban Pérez que desde ya representan una rotación difícil de descifrar.

Y para manejar tal rotación, Estelí apostó como segundo refuerzo por el receptor Luis Alen. Alen formó parte del equipo de Nueva Segovia. Ante los Dantos en cuartos de final disparó 5 hits en 11 turnos con 2 cuadrangulares y 2 remolques con .455 de average

BÓER: JUAN BERMÚDEZ Y NORMAN ST CLAIR

El Bóer volvió a reforzar su bullpen con la selección de Juan Bermúdez y Norman St Clair. Bermúdez fue rival del Bóer como refuerzos de Matagalpa en playoffs. El rivense campeón en efectividad del presente campeonato, lanzó para 4.38 con balance de 1-1 en 12.1 episodios laborados. Bermúdez le garantiza al Bóer un brazo que recorre como promedio entre 6 y 7 episodios en una apertura

El costeño Norman St Clair firmó su mejor temporada en su Carrera. En su roll como abridor en la Costa Caribe tuvo balance de 8-5 en toda la temporada regular. En playoffs ante los Tigres no tuvo decisión en su apertura de 7 episodios y 2 limpias. Roger Marín, Juan Bermúdez, Braulio Silva y Norman St Clair serían los 4 brazos de los capitalinos en su serie ante los Tigres.

DANTOS: SANDY BERMÚDEZ Y SHENDELL BENARD

Pese a escoger como cuarto en la primera ronda, Los Dantos no desaprovecharon la oportunidad de quedarse con el considerado “pez gordo” de la escogencia y se hicieron con los servicios del artillero chontaleño Sandy Bermúdez. Bermúdez fue campeón batel del Pomares con AVG de .435 y en la serie de playoffs ante Estelí promedió .500 con 8 hits, 1 cuadrangular, 6 anotadas y 6 empujadas, dejando claro que su rendimiento no es cuestión de casualidad.

Con Bermúdez, los capitalinos garantizan quien defienda la pradera derecha y aumentan mayor poder y profundidad a su ya intimidante lineup que pese a todo no lució avasallador ante Nueva Segovia en la pasada serie.

Shendell Benard fue la segunda selección de los Dantos. Con balance de 4-6 y 2.70 de efectividad culminó la etapa regular al servicio de Carazo. Pasó a reforzar a Nueva Segovia y enfrentó a “la maquinaria roja” en playoffs, tuvo balance de 0-1 con 2 limpias en 4 episodios laborados.

Las semifinales darán inicio este miércoles 15 de julio con la serie entre Dantos y Estelí a las 6 de la tarde en el Estadio Nacional. La serie entre Bóer y Tigres iniciará el jueves 16 de abril.
