Mas de noventa millones de córdobas invirtió la Empresa Portuaria Nacional, en la reconstrucción del Muelle de Bilwi en Puerto Cabezas, Caribe Norte, informó este miércoles el presidente de esa institución, ingeniero Virgilio Silva.

El funcionario aseguró que están terminando los trabajos del último tramo del muelle y el edificio, porque los huracanes destruyeron 470 metros del atracadero. La obra será inaugurada en el mes de septiembre.

Sostuvo que una parte de los materiales que se usaron para construir el edificio fueron trasladados desde Managua y la madera se compró en la zona.

La Empresa Portuaria Nacional movilizó más de 113 mil toneladas métricas de carga del 12 al 18 de julio, informó Silva.

El funcionario detalló que a los puertos del país llegaron más de 63 mil visitantes, la mayoría de estos al Puerto Salvador Allende que recibió a 42 mil 74 turistas.
