Distrito Naval advierte sobre fuerte oleaje en el mar caribe
El Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval monitorea un fenómeno meteorológico que afectará a partir de este jueves el mar caribe nicaragüense con olas de 4.8 a 7.7 pies de altura.
En una nota de prensa del Ejército de Nicaragua, se advierte que dicho evento climático podría generar vientos de 31 km/h a 46 km/h.
Por lo antes mencionado, se les informa que deben mantenerse atentos al seguimiento de este fenómeno, tomar en cuenta las medidas de seguridad necesaria para resguardar la vida y proteger las embarcaciones.
Asimismo, se recomienda a las embarcaciones que se encuentran en labores de pesca tomar todas las medidas de seguridad y de ser necesario trasladarse a puerto seguro, esto con el fin de evitar hechos que lamentar.
INETER forecasts more rains in the country
The Nicaraguan Institute for Territorial Studies (INETER) reported this Monday that scattered rains will continue to be recorded in the country due to the influence of low pressure areas and the entry of tropical waves.
Marcio Baca, Director of Meteorology at INETER, explained that yesterday it rained in almost the entire national territory, with the highest accumulated 56 millimeters in the Augusto C. Sandino International Airport sector, in Managua.
For this week the country will continue under the same forecast due to low pressure areas and the arrival of a new tropical wave after this Thursday.
Regarding temperatures, Baca specified that it will continue in the range of 35 to 36 degrees in much of the national territory, except for the high areas of Nicaragua. Meanwhile, the seas will be in stable condition favoring navigation.
Tropical Storm Elsa
The Director of Meteorology at INETER said that Tropical Storm Elsa is currently affecting the island of Cuba and for the remainder of the day this system is expected to cross the Caribbean nation.
«It is heading towards the north, it will affect all the provinces of central Cuba and later it will go to the Florida peninsula where it will be affecting this weekend,» said the expert.
