Ejército estrena equipos y medios para protección de población

Mandos del Ejército hicieron entrega este jueves de medios y equipos a las distintas unidades, con el objetivo de fortalecer las misiones ante situaciones de desastres y dotar de mayores capacidades a las tropas para lograr mayor vigilancia en las fronteras y la seguridad en el campo.

“Con esta actividad estamos iniciando la jornada conmemorativa del 41 aniversario de constitución del Ejército de Nicaragua, misma que contempla además de esta ceremonia la realización de los actos del 42 aniversario de la Fuerza Aérea, fundada el 31 de julio de 1979 y para ello realizamos el acto e viernes 30 de julio”, dijo el General Julio César Avilés Castillo.

Avilés explicó que el fortalecimiento de las capacidades para proteger a la población ante situaciones de desastre consiste en dotar a la Fuerza Aérea, Defensa Civil, Unidad Humanitaria y de Rescate, Fuerza Naval y Destacamento de Unidades Militares, de medios de gran importancia para el cumplimiento de estas misiones.

Entre la donación se encuentra un helicóptero destinado para misiones de búsqueda, salvamento y rescate, y dotado con equipos especiales para la sofocación de incendios forestales.

Quince vehículos “todo terreno”, destinados para fortalecer las capacidades de la Defensa Civil y la Unidad Humanitaria y de Rescate, para las misiones de búsqueda y salvamento.

“Estamos haciendo entrega a la Defensa Civil, de todos los equipos necesarios para la modernización del centro de operaciones de emergencia (CODE), para el monitoreo, seguimiento y respuesta ante situaciones de desastres”, dijo.

“Y estamos haciendo entrega también a nuestra Defensa Civil de 20 sirenas que serán instaladas en el litoral Caribe para cuidar el sistema de alerta temprana ante situaciones de riesgo de la población”, agregó.

“También haciendo entrega de 250 balizas para chalecos salvavidas, y 83 para medios navales, al igual que 1,200 salvavidas”, agregó el jefe militar. Expresó que con el apoyo del presidente de la República Daniel Ortega se hizo la entrega de diferentes unidades militares para movilidad de las tropas.

Army launches equipment and means for population protection

Army commanders delivered resources and equipment to the different units on Thursday, with the aim of strengthening missions in disaster situations and providing troops with greater capabilities to achieve greater surveillance at the borders and security in the field.

“With this activity we are initiating the commemorative day of the 41st anniversary of the constitution of the Nicaraguan Army, which also includes this ceremony the holding of the 42nd anniversary of the Air Force, founded on July 31, 1979 and for that the act on Friday, July 30 ”, said General Julio César Avilés Castillo.

Avilés explained that the strengthening of capacities to protect the population in disaster situations consists of providing the Air Force, Civil Defense, Humanitarian and Rescue Unit, Naval Force and Detachment of Military Units, with means of great importance for compliance of these missions.

Among the donation is a helicopter destined for search, rescue and rescue missions, and equipped with special equipment for extinguishing forest fires.

Fifteen “all terrain” vehicles, destined to strengthen the capacities of the Civil Defense and the Humanitarian and Rescue Unit, for search and rescue missions.

«We are delivering to the Civil Defense all the necessary equipment for the modernization of the emergency operations center (CODE), for monitoring, follow-up and response to disaster situations,» he said.

«Also delivering 250 beacons for lifejackets, and 83 for naval means, as well as 1,200 lifeguards,» added the military chief. He expressed that with the support of the President of the Republic Daniel Ortega, different military units were handed over for the mobility of the troops.
