3,107 verification boards ready to serve citizens

The president of the Electoral Suppression Council (CSE) of Nicaragua, Brenda Rocha, described this Friday as a people’s exercise of the citizen verification process with a view to the November elections, which will take place this weekend.

Rocha indicated in the En Vivo magazine of Channel Four of the Nicaraguan television that three thousand 106 Voting Centers are enabled to comply with this step of the electoral process.

She specified that there are four fewer than originally planned, taking into account the suggestions of the political parties and alliances registered to participate in the general elections on November 7.

She added that this figure is still subject to change and pointed to the location of the centers in locations with better infrastructure conditions and ease of access.

Regarding the importance of the next step in the electoral calendar, she insisted that it offers citizens the possibility of knowing well in advance the place where they will exercise their citizen rights on the first Sunday in November.

All measures have been taken to guarantee the agility of the verification, to which the four million 470 thousand Nicaraguans registered in the electoral roll until July 3 are invited to participate.

The highest electoral authority of Nicaragua recalled that with a view to the success of the citizen verification, the CSE delivered the electoral cartography to the political parties and alliances well in advance.

Nicaraguans are summoned to the polls on the first Sunday in November, as mandated by the Political Constitution, to elect the presidential formula, 92 deputies to the National Assembly (Legislative) and 20 to the Central American Parliament.
