Distrito Naval del Caribe decomisa langosta y caracol en el Caribe
En cumplimiento al Plan de Protección del Ambiente y los Recursos Naturales, efectivos militares del Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval del Ejército de Nicaragua, durante sondeo rutinario realizado a la embarcación de nombre “Hilario Sánchez”, en el muelle de Corn Island, Caribe Sur se decomisó una buena cantidad de langosta y caracol rosado.
Además, se inspeccionó la panga de nombre “HNOS ORDOÑEZ I”, con 4 tripulantes a bordo a 2 millas náuticas al sureste de Puerto Cabezas, Caribe Norte, donde se ocuparon 527.7 libras de langostas fuera de talla de la especie Panulirus Argus y 8.4 libras de Caracol Rosado del Caribe (Strombus Giga) este último recurso se encuentra en período veda.
El producto ocupado fue entregado a las autoridades correspondientes. Se emplearon 10 efectivos militares y 2 lanchas rápidas.
La Fuerza Naval del Ejército de Nicaragua tiene entre sus deberes velar por la protección, preservación del ambiente y los recursos naturales, por lo que hace un llamado a las personas vinculadas a la pesca de este recurso a respetar las medidas de ordenamiento pesquero.
Caribbean Naval District seizes lobster and conch in the Caribbean
In compliance with the Environmental and Natural Resources Protection Plan, military personnel from the Caribbean Naval District of the Nicaraguan Army Naval Force, during a routine survey of the vessel named «Hilario Sánchez», on the pier in Corn Island, Caribbean South seized a good amount of lobster and pink conch.
In addition, the panga named “HNOS ORDOÑEZ I” was inspected, with 4 crew members on board 2 nautical miles southeast of Puerto Cabezas, North Caribbean, where 527.7 pounds of lobsters of the Panulirus Argus species and 8.4 pounds were taken of Caribbean Pink Snail (Strombus Giga) this last resource is in the closed period.
The occupied product was delivered to the corresponding authorities. 10 military personnel and 2 speedboats were used.
The Naval Force of the Nicaraguan Army has among its duties to ensure the protection, preservation of the environment and natural resources, so it calls on people linked to the fishing of this resource to respect fishery management measures.
