Junior Téllez otorga primera victoria de la final a los Dantos

Junior Téllez se encargó de devolverle la vida a los Dantos la tarde de este sábado al caminar la ruta completa en el tercer juego de la serie final del Pomares 2020 en que los Dantos derrotaron 5-1 a los Indios del Bóer.

La figura del diestro metropolitano se agigantó en el Estadio Nacional en el que limitó a 3 hits y 1 carrera limpia en 9 episodios a la Tribu, ganando el duelo monticular al estelar Roger Marín.

Los Dantos pusieron números a la pizarra en el cierre del segundo episodio. Abrió la entrada Ronald Garth embazándose por error en fildeo de Álvaro Rubí, Garth robó segunda y anotaría remolcado por doble Luis Sequeira. Toque sorpresivo de Juan Blandón colocó hombres en las esquinas, William Rayo en jugada de escogencia impulsaría la segunda de los Dantos.

El Bóer descontó en el inicio del tercero. Janior Montes inició la entrada con doble, Sandy Moreno en rola hizo avanzar a Montes a tercera y Cristhian Moreno con elevado de sacrificio impulsó en jugada de pisa y corre la primera y única del Böer.

En la conclusión del tercero los locales aumentaron su ventaja. Error en tito de Cristhian Moreno le permitió a Omar Mendoza iniciar la entrada tomando base, Benjamín Alegría descargó largo cuadrangular por el izquierdo para poner en ventaja a los Dantos 4-1.

En el cierre de quinto, Omar Mendoza inició la tanda con doble explotando a Marín. Avanzó a tercera en jugada de pisa y corre y terminaría anotando en rola a la segunda base.

Fue toda la producción en el encuentro en el que Téllez con 104 envíos al plato se encargó de culminar el encuentro en el que aparte de los 3 hits y la carrera limpia, otorgó 1 boleto y ponchó a 5 rivales. Roger Marín cargó con la derrota en trabajo de 4 episodios y 5 carreras permitidas.

Antes de Tellez, Marlin Mejía había sido el último lanzador en registrar juego completo en serie final. En el quinto juego de la final del 2014 Mejía (Böer) caminó nueve episodios en la victoria de los suyos 3-1 sobre la Costa Caribe. Los Dantos se han librado de una posible barrida. La barrida de Estelí (4-0) sobre la Costa Caribe en 2011 se mantiene como la única barrida propinada en una serie final.
