Fuerza Naval ha logrado golpear a narcos y crimen organizado

El jefe de la Fuerza Naval del Ejército de Nicaragua, Contraalmirante Ángel Eugenio Fonseca Donaire, destacó este viernes, el trabajo realizado por esa institución durante la emergencia ocasionada por el paso de los huracanes Eta y Iota, que afectaron gran parte el país durante el mes de noviembre de 2020 y la lucha contra el narcotráfico y el crimen organizado.

El jefe militar detalló que se incautaron 1 mil 422 kilos de droga, 173 mil 907 dólares, 17 lanchas, 32 narcotraficantes detenidos, entre ellos dos extranjeros; también se retuvieron a 124 migrantes ilegales de diferentes nacionalidades, los que fueron entregados a las autoridades correspondientes.

“En nuestro accionar hemos realizado 235 mil 885 servicios operativos, navegando 118 mil 626 millas náuticas”, agregó.

Fonseca expresó que participaron en tres simulacros nacionales multiamenazas, tres municipales, dos en el Caribe y una en el Pacífico.

“Cumplimos con los planes estratégicos misión paz y soberanía General Augusto C Sandino, Misión Soberanía Caribe Sur y Pacífico Sur, realizando en este período 827 misiones, 15 relevos navegando 10,601 millas náuticas que nos ha permitido proteger nuestros recursos naturales”, señaló.

Durante el acto para celebrar el 41 aniversario de constitución de la Fuerza Aérea, expresó que se cumplieron misiones de líneas de vigilancia, patrullas costeras, fluviales, lacustres, destacando misiones de apoyo a la población cumpliendo con el plan anti desastres naturales.

A través de las capitanías de puertos se emitieron avisos oportunos ante amenazas de huracanes y situaciones meteorológicas adversas, a los pobladores de las comunidades costeras, dijo Fonseca.

Expresó que ante el paso de los huracanes ETA y IOTA, se puso en funcionamiento los planes ante desastres naturales coordinando con la Defensa Civil a las autoridades nacionales y lideres de las comunidades costeras para las organizaciones de las evacuaciones de las localidades en alto riesgo.

En este sentido aseguró que con apoyo de empresarios de la pesca artesanal e industrial se evacuó a 15 mil 369 personas. Asimismo, se rescataron 440 personas cumpliendo nueve misiones de exploración naval, ocho misiones de búsqueda de salvamento y rescate, empleando 120 medios navales navegando 5,600 millas náuticas participando en estas acciones 958 efectivos militares.

The military chief detailed that 1,422 kilos of drugs were seized, 173,907 dollars, 17 boats, 32 drug traffickers arrested, including two foreigners; 124 illegal migrants of different nationalities were also detained and handed over to the corresponding authorities.
«In our actions we have performed 235 thousand 885 operational services, sailing 118 thousand 626 nautical miles,» he added.

Fonseca said that they participated in three national multi-threat drills, three municipal, two in the Caribbean and one in the Pacific.

«We comply with the strategic plans of the peace and sovereignty mission General Augusto C Sandino, the South Caribbean Sovereignty Mission and the South Pacific, carrying out 827 missions, 15 relays sailing 10,601 nautical miles that has allowed us to protect our natural resources,» he said.

During the ceremony to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the constitution of the Air Force, he stated that missions of surveillance lines, coastal, river, and lake patrols were carried out, highlighting missions to support the population, complying with the anti-natural disaster plan.
Through the port captains, timely warnings were issued in the event of hurricane threats and adverse meteorological situations, to the inhabitants of the coastal communities, Fonseca said.

He expressed that before the passage of hurricanes ETA and IOTA, the plans for natural disasters were put into operation, coordinating with the Civil Defense the national authorities and leaders of the coastal communities for the organizations of the evacuations of the localities at high risk.

In this sense, he assured that with the support of entrepreneurs of artisanal and industrial fishing, 15,369 people were evacuated. Likewise, 440 people were rescued carrying out nine naval exploration missions, eight search and rescue missions, employing 120 naval means navigating 5,600 nautical miles, with 958 military personnel participating in these actions.
