Advierten sobre posible ciclón que afectaría el Caribe Norte
Los expertos metereológos de la Plataforma Interactiva de Aplicación del Clima Tropical (PIACT), con sede en Costa Rica, advirtieron este lunes de la posible formación de un ciclón tropical que afecte el Caribe Norte de Nicaragua.
PIACT explican que a finales de esta semana una onda tropical ubicada sobre el este del Mar Caribe podría desarrollarse gradualmente en un ciclón tropical mientras se mueve hacia el oeste-noroeste, es decir, con dirección al Caribe Norte de Nicaragua.
De acuerdo a los expertos ticos la probabilidad de formación de un ciclón tropical en 5 días es de 30%.
“A partir del 25 de agosto la formación de un ciclón tropical sobre la cuenca del Caribe causará abundantes lluvias sobre Panamá y Costa Rica y desde el 26 de agosto toda Centroamérica estará bajo la influencia del sistema”, refieren los especialistas.
INETER advierte sobre semana lluviosa
Por otra parte, en Managua, el director de meteorología del INETER, Marcio Baca, anunció que a partir de este lunes se esperan lluvias de ligeras a moderadas en todo el territorio nacional y en algunas ocasiones fuertes, producto del ingreso de una onda tropical al país.
Baca advirtió que durante la semana en el Pacífico se pueden presentar lluvias bastantes fuertes, por lo que la población debe mantenerse alerta ante las recomendaciones que emitan las autoridades.
“Hay una activación tanto en el Océano Atlántico como en el Caribe sobre la formación de un Centro de Bajas Presiones por lo que estamos atentos ante cualquier situación que esto pueda provocar”, refirió el experto en metereología.
Baca llamó a los pescadores, principalmente a los de las embarcaciones menores, a acatar las recomendaciones de las autoridades ya que durante esta semana el mal tiempo provocará un aumento en el oleaje.
“Vamos a tener mucha lluvia principalmente en la tarde y noche en el occidente del país, mientras que en el norte se esperan que sean de ligeras a moderadas”, advirtió Marcio Baca.

“As of August 25, the formation of a tropical cyclone over the Caribbean basin will cause abundant rains over Panama and Costa Rica and from August 26 all of Central America will be under the influence of the system,” the specialists refer.
INETER warns about rainy week
On the other hand, in Managua, the director of meteorology of INETER, Marcio Baca, announced that starting this Monday, light to moderate rains are expected throughout the national territory and on some occasions heavy, as a result of the entry of a tropical wave to the country.
Baca warned that during the week in the Pacific there can be quite heavy rains, so the population must remain alert to the recommendations issued by the authorities.
«There is an activation both in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Caribbean on the formation of a Low Pressure Center so we are attentive to any situation that this may cause,» said the meteorological expert.
Baca called on the fishermen, mainly those of the smaller boats, to abide by the recommendations of the authorities since during this week bad weather will cause an increase in the waves.
«We are going to have a lot of rain mainly in the afternoon and evening in the west of the country, while in the north it is expected to be light to moderate,» warned Marcio Baca.
