Luis Arce del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS) gana elecciones en Bolivia

El candidato del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), Luis Arce, ganó las elecciones presidenciales de Bolivia en primera vuelta con el 52.4% de los votos, reveló una encuesta a boca de urna publicada en el canal Unitel.

Un rato antes de que se conocieran estas cifras, el vocero del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS), Sebastián Michel, había pedido terminar con los recelos en torno a los resultados de las elecciones presidenciales y reconocer que el candidato de esta fuerza política había ganado con más del 45 % de los votos.

«Necesitamos dar certidumbre a la población», afirmó Michel en entrevista con el canal Unitel casi a la medianoche, es decir, seis horas después del cierre de las urnas y cuando la sociedad boliviana se mantenía en vilo, sin un dato oficial ni extraoficial de resultados.

Agregó que a los medios de comunicación y a las empresas no les cuesta nada dar a conocer los resultados de las encuestas de conteo rápido que deberían haberse dado a conocer dos horas después de que culminara la votación.

«Hay que ser claros y contundentes, decir que hay un frente político que esta con el 45 % de los votos (Arce); y que el segundo (Carlos Mesa) está por llegar al 30 %, y el tercero (Luis Fernando Camacho) ya pasó del 15 % pero no llega al 20 %», señaló.

De esta manera, Michel sugirió que el MAS ya ganó en primera vuelta, puesto que Arce necesitaba el 50 % más uno de los votos, o el 40 % pero con una distancia de 10 puntos con respecto al segundo lugar.

«El país necesita certidumbre, hay una gran susceptibilidad, lo hemos hablado con muchos de los observadores. No entienden si es ineficiencia, si es el peor órgano electoral de América Latina o si son funcionales a una estrategia del gobierno que pretende ganar dos o tres días para generar violencia y generar un espacio de poder militar para poner en vilo otra vez a la democracia», advirtió.

Desde Buenos Aires, en donde se encuentra exiliado, el derrocado presidente Evo Morales celebró el triunfo del MAS.
