Ejércitos de Nicaragua y Honduras garantizan seguridad en zona fronteriza

El General Julio César Avilés Castillo destacó este miércoles las operaciones conjuntas realizadas por los ejércitos de Nicaragua y Honduras, las que calificó de positivas por el nivel de confianza y seguridad que sienten las personas que habitan en la zona fronteriza entre ambas naciones.

Durante una reunión virtual con el Jefe del Estado Mayor Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras, General de División Tito Livio Moreno, el General Avilés se refirió a las actividades militares, como patrullajes y el despliegue de tropas a lo largo de las fronteras que se realizan con la operación Sandino-Morazán.

“Este esfuerzo conjunto entre las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras y el Ejército de Nicaragua son altamente positivos y como un elemento importante a destacar..el nivel se seguridad que sienten las poblaciones cercanas a la frontera, tanto de su país como aquí en la parte fronteriza nicaragüense..la Operación Sandino-Morazán, el despliegue de las tropas, el patrullaje a lo largo de nuestras fronteras, incrementa ese nivel de confianza y de seguridad a nuestros pobladores..”, dijo el General de Ejército.

Como resultado de las operaciones realizadas por el Ejército de Nicaragua esta la retención de 118 personas vinculadas a diversos ilícitos, de ellos 44 hondureños y 74 nicaragüenses; 831 semovientes retenidos; 37,055 plantas de marihuana ocupadas; 337.32 kilogramos de marihuana procesada incautadas; dos armas de uso restringido y 51 de uso civil ocupadas.

De la misma manera se ocuparon  207 cartuchos, 9,668 pies tablar de madera retenida, 3 embarcaciones ocupadas, 180 migrantes ilegales retenidos, 13 vehículos retenidos y 10 motosierras ocupadas en corte ilegal de madera.

Por su parte, el General Tito Livio Moreno, agradeció la voluntad, solidaridad y hermandad de Nicaragua, para realizar las actividades militares y poder asegurar las fronteras.

“Queremos agradecer los esfuerzos que hace Nicaragua, los esfuerzos conjuntos combinados que hemos estado realizado para poder asegurar nuestras fronteras, para poder combatir los crímenes transnacionales que afectan a nuestra sociedad y eso ha sido gracias a la voluntad, a esa hermandad y a esa solidaridad que hemos tenido ambas instituciones….y que las personas que están queriendo cometer actos delincuenciales entienden que hay instituciones comprometidas y que vamos hacer nuestro máximo esfuerzo para evitar que sigan dañando a la población, economías y los valores de nuestras sociedades…”, dijo el militar hondureño.

Las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras retuvieron 104 personas retenidas vinculadas a diversos ilícitos, de ellos 32 nicaragüenses y 72 hondureños; 47 semovientes retenidos; 32 equinos retenidos; 93.64 kilogramos de marihuana procesada incautadas; 4 armas de uso restringido y 35 de uso civil ocupadas; 365 cartuchos, 25 (12mm), 110 (.22mm), 230 (9mm) ocupados; US$ 272,000 dólares, C$ 1,000 córdobas y L$ 761,000 lempiras ocupados; Mercadería decomisada por valor de US$ 100,000 dólares, C$ 38,700 córdobas / L$ 4,000,000.

De la misma manera se ocuparon 1,350 pies tablar de madera, 343 migrantes ilegales retenidos, y  20 vehículos retenidos.

Durante la cita virtual también se abordaron temas como la cooperación entre ambos ejércitos, la ampliación de los mecanismos y canales de intercambio oportuno de información e inteligencia y el fortalecimiento de las medidas de la confianza.

Armies of Nicaragua and Honduras guarantee security in the border area

General Julio César Avilés Castillo highlighted on Wednesday the joint operations carried out by the Nicaraguan and Honduran armies, which he described as positive due to the level of trust and security felt by the people living in the border area between the two nations.

During a virtual meeting with the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Honduran Armed Forces, Major General Tito Livio Moreno, General Avilés referred to military activities, such as patrols and the deployment of troops along the borders that are carried out with the Sandino-Morazán operation.

«This joint effort between the Armed Forces of Honduras and the Army of Nicaragua are highly positive and as an important element to highlight … the level of security felt by the populations near the border, both in their country and here on the border. Nicaraguan … Operation Sandino-Morazán, the deployment of the troops, the patrolling along our borders, increases that level of trust and security for our residents … ”, said the Army General.

As a result of the operations carried out by the Nicaraguan Army, there is the retention of 118 people linked to various crimes, of them 44 Hondurans and 74 Nicaraguans; 831 retained livestock; 37,055 occupied marijuana plants; 337.32 kilograms of processed marijuana seized; two weapons for restricted use and 51 for civilian use occupied.

For his part, General Tito Livio Moreno thanked Nicaragua for its willingness, solidarity and brotherhood to carry out military activities and to be able to secure the borders.

“We want to thank Nicaragua for the efforts made, the combined joint efforts that we have made to be able to secure our borders, to be able to combat transnational crimes that affect our society and that has been thanks to the will, that brotherhood and that solidarity that we have had both institutions … and that the people who are wanting to commit criminal acts understand that there are compromised institutions and that we are going to do our utmost to prevent them from continuing to harm the population, economies and the values ​​of our societies … «, said the military Honduran.
