Protección y seguridad a buques mercantes y flota pesquera industrial en el mar caribe

Un total de cuatro buques mercantes fueron atendidos por el Distrito Naval del Caribe con 334 toneladas de mercadería de exportación, además 15 barcos de cabotajes en diferentes puertos del Caribe informo el DNC en una nota de prensa.

El Ejército de Nicaragua consecuente con el lema de que “Somos el pueblo mismo uniformado trabajando en su propio beneficio”, a través del Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval, del 20 al 26 de noviembre de 2020, efectivos militares, unidades de superficie, capitanías de puerto y puestos de control de embarcaciones, brindaron protección y seguridad a 4 buques mercantes con 384.182 toneladas métricas de mercadería de importación y 334.102 toneladas métricas de mercadería de exportación; además, se atendieron a 3 buques-tanques con 3,727 barriles de diésel y 545 barriles de gasolina.

También, se atendieron 25 barcos de cabotaje con 750 toneladas métricas de mercadería con destino a los puertos El Bluff, Cayos Miskitos, Bluefields y Corn Island.

De igual manera, se brindó cobertura y seguridad a 113 barcos de la flota pesquera industrial, que arribaron a los puertos de Corn Island y El Bluff; además, se realizaron 3 controles a los Dispositivos Exclusores de Tortugas (TED’s), contribuyendo a la producción de 54,431.03 libras de producto marino entre pescado, langosta y camarón.

Durante las recepciones y despachos de estas embarcaciones, se emplearon 45 efectivos militares, 2 guardacostas, 3 lanchas rápidas y 2 lanchas auxiliares. Asimismo, los efectivos militares cumplieron con las medidas de protección orientadas por el Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), para prevenir el contagio de la COVID-19.

La Fuerza Naval como parte del Comité Nacional de Seguridad Marítimo Portuaria y protección de buques, continúa apoyando a las instituciones involucradas para mantener el estatus de puertos seguros, brindar protección a la flota pesquera y contribuir a la economía nacional. En cumplimiento de las misiones y tareas: “Todo por la Patria”. En defensa de la Patria y la Institución: ¡Firmeza y Cohesión!

Similarly, cover and security were provided to 113 ships of the industrial fishing fleet, which arrived at the ports of Corn Island and El Bluff; In addition, 3 controls were carried out on the Turtle Exclusion Devices (TED’s), contributing to the production of 54,431.03 pounds of marine product including fish, lobster and shrimp.

During the receptions and dispatches of these vessels, 45 military personnel, 2 coast guards, 3 speedboats and 2 auxiliary boats were used. Likewise, the military personnel complied with the protection measures directed by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Naval Force, as part of the National Committee for Port Maritime Security and ship protection, continues to support the institutions involved to maintain the status of safe ports, provide protection to the fishing fleet and contribute to the national economy.
