Nicaragua denuncia y se retira de la OEA

De conformidad a los artículos 143 y 129 de la Constitución Política, Nicaragua denunció este viernes la carta de la Organización de los Estados Americanos e hizo oficial su retiro de la OEA, así lo informó el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Denis Moncada.

Moncada aclaró que está decisión se da con la instrucción del presidente Daniel Ortega Saavedra.

“Comunicamos a ustedes, al pueblo de Nicaragua y a la comunidad internacional que hoy viernes 19 de noviembre a las 8 de la mañana enviamos al secretario general de la Organización de los Estados Americanos comunicación, denunciando la carta de la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA). Estamos renunciando y desvinculándonos de esa organización, dando por terminado el vínculo del Estado nicaragüense y la OEA. Nos estamos desligando de la Organización de los Estados Americanos”, expresó el ministro.

Detalló que la denuncia y el retiro están basadas en la declaratoria N0. 05-2021 de la Asamblea Nacional respaldada por el Parlamento Centroamericano, la Corte Suprema de Justicia y el Consejo Supremo Electoral ante las reiteradas acciones injerencistas de la OEA en los asunto interno del Estado de Nicaragua.

Moncada manifestó que la OEA ha sido diseñada como un foro político diplomático que nació por influencia de los Estados Unidos, como un instrumento de injerencia e intervencionismo sobre los países de América Latina y el Caribe, lo que para Nicaragua es inaceptable, por ende, su rechazo y condena a ese organismo.

En la conferencia estuvo presente el representante permanente de Nicaragua ante la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), Arturo McFields y la procuradora especial de la mujer, Deborah Grandison.

Nicaragua denounces and withdraws from the OAS

In accordance with Articles 143 and 129 of the Political Constitution, Nicaragua on Friday denounced the letter from the Organization of American States and made its withdrawal from the OAS official, as reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Denis Moncada.

Moncada clarified that this decision is made with the instruction of President Daniel Ortega Saavedra.

“We inform you, the people of Nicaragua and the international community that today, Friday, November 19, at 8 am, we sent a communication to the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, denouncing the letter from the Organization of American States (OAS ). We are resigning and disassociating ourselves from that organization, terminating the link between the Nicaraguan State and the OAS. We are separating ourselves from the Organization of American States, ”said the minister.

He explained that the complaint and withdrawal are based on declaration No. 05-2021 of the National Assembly backed by the Central American Parliament, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Supreme Electoral Council in the face of repeated interference actions by the OAS in the internal affairs of the State of Nicaragua.

Moncada stated that the OAS has been designed as a diplomatic political forum that was born under the influence of the United States, as an instrument of interference and interventionism on the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, which for Nicaragua is unacceptable, therefore, its I reject and condemn that body.

Present at the conference were the permanent representative of Nicaragua to the Organization of American States (OAS), Arturo McFields, and the special attorney for women, Deborah Grandison.
