Lanchón sobre el rio Wawa sigue operando con mas demanda pero ya se construye su reemplazo

El Lanchón sobre el rio Wawa, sigue operando de forma normal, a pesar del trabajo a que ha sido sometido después del paso de los dos huracanes en el Caribe Norte de Nicaragua y muy pronto será sustituido por uno que construye el Gobierno de Nicaragua por medio de la Empresa Nacional de Puertos y el Gobierno Regional del Caribe Norte.

Las veces que se ha dañado ha sido por que se ha intentado pasar maquinaria muy pesada, la última vez fue una grúa que estará usando el proyecto del nuevo hospital en Bilwi, el lanchón no soportó el peso y quebró la rampla donde se suben los vehículos.

Sistema de Noticias del Caribe sostuvo una conversación con Ramón Meza quien está a cargo del lanchón y este señalo que las operaciones se mantienen normal pero el trabajo se ha aumentado considerablemente después del paso de los dos huracanes.

”En tiempos normales, el servicio que se prestaba a los transportistas eran de 40 a 50 vehículos diarios y después del huracán esa cantidad ha crecido ya que antes atendíamos a 40 y 50 y hoy en día se están atendiendo casi 250 vehículos diarios, y la mayoría es ayuda humanitaria y esos no están pagando” afirmo Meza.

El lanchón ha logrado sobrevivir a los dos huracanes, luego se ha tenido que hacer algunos ajustes y los trabajos de mantenimiento y reparación se hacen en tiempo record lo que pasa es que con la demanda que hay del servicio hoy en día, se siente más pero hemos trabajado mucho para mantener operando el lanchón.

Sin embargo a pesar de estar operando con normalidad el lanchón ya dio su vida útil y ahora el coordinador del Gobierno regional Carlos Alemán anunció que en articulación con la Empresa Portuaria nacional se está trabajando en el cambio de la barcaza por una nueva que brindara un mejor servicio.

«In normal times, the service provided to carriers was 40 to 50 vehicles a day and after the hurricane that amount has grown since before we served 40 and 50 and today almost 250 vehicles are being served daily, and most of it is humanitarian aid and those are not paying, ”said Meza.

The boat has managed to survive the two hurricanes, then it has had to make some adjustments and the maintenance and repair work is done in record time, what happens is that with the demand that there is for the service today, it feels more but we have worked hard to keep the barge operating.

However, despite operating normally, the boat has already given its useful life and now the coordinator of the regional government Carlos Alemán announced that in conjunction with the national Port Company, they are working on changing the barge for a new one that would provide a better service.
