Un total de 15 maestros de educación primaria y secundaria del territorio indígena Amasau, piden al ministerio de Educación les asegure una plaza fija como docentes en ese territorio ya que llevan años impartiendo clases de forma voluntaria.

Lo anterior fue expresado por un grupo de docentes del territorio que piden a las autoridades les incluyan en la nómina de docentes ya que llevan años de trabajar sin recibir salarios de esa instancia.

Los docentes disidieron suspender las clases de forma indefinida hasta lograr que sean integrados en la planilla del Ministerio de  Educación.

Con esta demanda, quedaran cerradas 15 aulas y afectará a estudiantes de primaria y secundaria de este territorio.

En la comunidad de Awastingni hay 26 profesores y profesoras trabajando al servicio de la educación, de ellos  cinco profesionales tienen plazas fijas del MINED, tres de ellos consiguieron las plazas en 1983, una en 2008 y dos en 2019.

Hay siete docentes que reciben una ayuda mensual de 2,000 córdobas y ocho profesionales que no reciben ningún tipo de ayuda. Por ello  demandan   15 plazas de docentes.

Desde hace varios años las comunidad Awastingni por medio de su Gobierno Territorial, viene demandando ante el MINED plazas de docente, y no se ha obtenido respuestas satisfactorias y las carencias educativas siguen creciendo, la matricula estudiantil sigue en aumento y la necesidad de más maestros es latente cada vez más.

Se demanda, que una comisión interinstitucional o una delegación del MINED, visite la comunidad para la constatación y atención de la demanda cívica de los educares y educadoras.

They ask for a teacher’s place in Awastingni

A total of 15 primary and secondary education teachers from the Amasau indigenous territory, ask the Ministry of Education to secure a fixed position as teachers in that territory since they have been teaching classes on a voluntary basis for years.

The foregoing was expressed by a group of teachers from the territory who ask the authorities to include them in the teachers’ payroll since they have been working for years without receiving salaries from that instance.

The teachers decided to suspend classes indefinitely until they were integrated into the payroll of the Ministry of Education.

With this demand, 15 classrooms will be closed and will affect primary and secondary students in this territory.

In the Awastingni community, there are 26 teachers working in the service of education, five of them have permanent positions in the MINED, three of them got the positions in 1983, one in 2008 and two in 2019.

There are seven teachers who receive a monthly aid of 2,000 cordobas and eight professionals who do not receive any type of aid. For this reason they demand 15 teaching positions.

For several years, the Awastingni community, through its Territorial Government, has been demanding teaching positions from MINED, and satisfactory responses have not been obtained and educational deficiencies continue to grow, student enrollment continues to increase and the need for more teachers is latent more and more.

It is demanded that an inter-institutional commission or a MINED delegation visit the community to verify and address the civic demand of the educators.
