Los Tigres de Chinandega lucieron imponentes ante la Costa Caribe he hicieron lucir fácil la serie que muchos pronosticaban como la más reñida de los Playoffs del Pomares 2020 al culminar la barrida la noche de este miércoles imponiéndose 6×1 a la tropa caribeña.

El pitcheo de Chinandega laboró para solamente 4 careras en toda la serie convirtiendo en estéril la amenaza ofensiva de Dwight Britton, Jonathan Loáisiga y compañía.

TRONÓ RONALD RIVERA

Los Tigres tomaron ventaja en la conclusión del cuarto con rally de 3 carreras ante el abridor Wilfredo Pinner. Con hombres en tercera y segunda, Ronald Rivera conectó largo cuadrangular al bosque izquierdo para poner en ventaja a los Tigres 3×0.

Rivera volvería a castigar a Pinner en el cierre del sexto con vuelacercas solitario al jardín izquierdo para poner el score 4×0. Los Tigres amarraron el encuentro en el cierre séptimo con par de anotaciones. Con casa llena, Juan Oviedo roleteó para doble play permitiendo a Norlando Valle anotar la quinta, Mesac Laguna con imparable remolcó la sexta.

Mark Joseph en el inicio del octavo con cuadrangular solitario evitó la blanqueada. Luis Somarriba con trabajo de 6.2 innings sin carreras cinco hits y siete ponches fue el ganador mientras que Wilfredo Pinner cargó con la derrota.

Chinandega espera al ganador de la serie entre Bóer y Matagalpa para dar inicio el próximo miércoles a su llave de semifinales.

Chinandega sweeps and waits for Bóer or Matagalpa in the Pomares 2020 semifinals

The Chinandega Tigers looked impressive against the Caribbean Coast and made the series that many predicted as the closest of the Pomares 2020 Playoffs look easy when the sweep ended on Wednesday night, imposing 6 × 1 on the Caribbean troop.

Chinandega’s pitching worked for only 4 races in the entire series, rendering the offensive threat of Dwight Britton, Jonathan Loáisiga and company sterile.

THRONE RONALD RIVERA

The Tigers took the lead in the fourth quarter with a 3-run rally against starter Wilfredo Pinner. With men in third and second, Ronald Rivera hit a long home run to left field to put the Tigers ahead 3 × 0.

Rivera would return to punish Pinner in the closing of the sixth with lonely homers to left field to put the score 4 × 0. The Tigers tied the game in the seventh close with a couple of touchdowns. With a full house, Juan Oviedo grounded for double play allowing Norlando Valle to score the fifth, Mesac Laguna with unstoppable towed the sixth.

Mark Joseph at the start of the eighth with a solo homer avoided the shutout. Luis Somarriba with a 6.2-inning job without runs, five hits and seven strikeouts, was the winner, while Wilfredo Pinner was the loser.

Chinandega awaits the winner of the series between Bóer and Matagalpa to start his semifinal key next Wednesday
