Protección y seguridad a buques mercantes en el mar Caribe
El Ejército de Nicaragua a través del Distrito Naval Caribe de la Fuerza Naval, brindaron protección y seguridad a 2 buques mercantes con 413.293 toneladas métricas de mercadería de importación y 608.80 toneladas métricas de mercadería de exportación, además, atendieron 3 buques tanques con 6,300 barriles de diésel y 400 barriles de gasolina.
La Institución castrense atendió a 27 barcos de cabotaje con 720 toneladas métricas de mercadería con destino a los puertos de El Bluff, Cayos Miskitos, Bluefields y Corn Island.
De igual manera, brindaron cobertura y seguridad a 98 barcos de la flota pesquera industrial, mismos que arribaron en los puertos de Corn Island y El Bluff; asimismo, realizaron 2 controles a los Dispositivos Exclusores de Tortugas (TED’s), contribuyendo a la producción de 130,357 libras de producto marino entre pescado, langosta, caracol y camarón.
La Fuerza Naval como parte del Comité Nacional de Seguridad Marítimo Portuaria continúa apoyando a las instituciones involucradas para mantener el estatus de puertos seguros, brindar protección a la flota pesquera y contribuir a la economía nacional.
Protection and security of merchant ships in the Caribbean Sea
The Nicaraguan Army, through the Caribbean Naval District of the Naval Force, provided protection and security to 2 merchant ships with 413,293 metric tons of imported merchandise and 608.80 metric tons of export merchandise, in addition, they served 3 tankers with 6,300 barrels of diesel and 400 barrels of gasoline.
The Military Institution served 27 coastal ships with 720 metric tons of merchandise destined for the ports of El Bluff, Miskitos Cays, Bluefields and Corn Island.
In the same way, they provided cover and security to 98 ships of the industrial fishing fleet, which arrived in the ports of Corn Island and El Bluff; Likewise, they carried out 2 controls to the Turtle Exclusion Devices (TED’s), contributing to the production of 130,357 pounds of marine product including fish, lobster, snail and shrimp.
The Naval Force, as part of the National Committee for Maritime Port Security, continues to support the institutions involved to maintain the status of safe ports, provide protection to the fishing fleet and contribute to the national economy.
