A special commission is formed to implement a strategy to combat femicides

The heads of the Ministries of the Family, Women, Youth, Education and the head of the Women’s Police Stations will preside over the commission that will be in charge of launching the new strategy to combat femicides.

The Vice President of the Republic Rosario Murillo affirmed this Tuesday that the strategy will be worked on from the preventive part and in turn become more aware of the signs to protect women.

“We are going to work on this preventive, protective strategy, from the values that we know, we have in our blessed Nicaragua. Do not neglect a minute, on the contrary, work more and more to become aware of the signs, of the signs that we must know how to read, understand and above all write down to protect ourselves, to protect women, to prevent more crimes against women, against family, hate crimes, crimes that have no forgiveness from God… ”, he pointed out.
Ella Rosario regretted that many children have lost their mothers due to this type of violence, while she stressed that the figures in relation to other countries are low.

“How many children have been left without their mothers? We have numbers, in relation to other countries, low numbers, but we cannot be calm because we cannot stop taking the necessary measures so that those numbers are minimal, and if possible there are no crimes against women, if possible, and we believe that we can make it possible ”, concluded the vice president.
