Explosión de llanta provoca aparatoso choque en Siuna
Un nuevo accidente de tránsito se registró en la mañana de este sábado en el sector del puente Labu, sobre la vía que conecta Mulukuku con Siuna. El incidente, que afortunadamente no dejó víctimas que lamentar, dejó como saldo cuantiosos daños materiales en una camioneta.
Según el testimonio de Lenin Urbina, conductor del vehículo involucrado, se dirigía hacia Siuna con el propósito de celebrar el cumpleaños de su esposa junto a familiares y amigos. Sin embargo, al cruzar el puente Labu, una de las llantas delanteras de la camioneta explotó de manera repentina, provocando que el conductor perdiera el control del volante.
“Fue un susto terrible”, comentó Urbina. “La llanta explotó de repente y el vehículo se desvió hacia un poste. Gracias a Dios, todos pudimos salir ilesos”.
A pesar del fuerte impacto, que dejó visiblemente dañadas la parte frontal y trasera de la camioneta, los ocupantes del vehículo lograron salir por sus propios medios y continuaron su viaje hacia Siuna, donde finalmente pudieron celebrar el cumpleaños como estaba previsto.
La Policía Nacional interviene
Agentes de la Policía Nacional se presentaron en el lugar del accidente para realizar las investigaciones correspondientes y levantar el informe policial. Los peritos de tránsito analizaron las condiciones del vehículo y de la vía para determinar las causas exactas del incidente.

According to the testimony of Lenin Urbina, driver of the vehicle involved, he was heading towards Siuna with the purpose of celebrating his wife’s birthday with family and friends. However, when crossing the Labu bridge, one of the van’s front tires suddenly exploded, causing the driver to lose control of the steering wheel.
“It was a terrible scare,” said Urbina. “The tire suddenly exploded and the vehicle swerved into a post. Thank God, we were all able to get out unharmed.”
Despite the strong impact, which left the front and rear of the van visibly damaged, the occupants of the vehicle managed to get out on their own and continued their trip to Siuna, where they were finally able to celebrate the birthday as planned.

National Police officers went to the scene of the accident to carry out the corresponding investigations and to draw up the police report. Traffic experts analyzed the conditions of the vehicle and the road to determine the exact causes of the incident.
