Gobierno fortalecerá programas de seguridad alimentaria
El Programa Mundial de Alimentos (PMA) entregó equipos tecnológicos e informáticos al Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (Inta), con el objetivo de dar continuidad a la ejecución del programa de Recuperación de Medios de Vida en Zonas Expuestas a eventos climáticos adversos.
Durante la entrega, Giorgia Testolín, representante de país del PMA, dijo que la digitalización es una de las prioridades dentro del plan de trabajo en conjunto lo cual permite seguir impulsando mecanismos de trabajo para mejorar los programas en función de las familias y su seguridad alimentaria.
“Son equipos para el personal del Inta en el campo y que pueda ir recolectando los datos a través de plataformas que tenemos interconectadas y que las informaciones puedan llegar más rápido”, añadió.
En tanto, Miguel Obando, codirector del Inta, señaló que “recibimos los equipos para la digitalización y para ser utilizados en los proyectos que hemos venido desarrollando para fortalecer los medios de vida de las familias en el campo, principalmente en el Caribe Norte donde resultaron afectados por huracanes Iota y Eta”.
“Gracias a la cooperación que hemos tenido del PMA y las políticas de nuestro buen gobierno, las familias han logrado salir adelante. Hoy recibimos estos equipos para continuar trabajando en función del pueblo”, subrayó.
Government will strengthen food security programs
The World Food Program (WFP) delivered technological and computer equipment to the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (Inta), with the aim of giving continuity to the execution of the program for the Recovery of Livelihoods in Areas Exposed to adverse climatic events.
During the delivery, Giorgia Testolín, country representative of the WFP, said that digitalization is one of the priorities within the joint work plan, which allows us to continue promoting work mechanisms to improve programs based on families and their food security. .

Meanwhile, Miguel Obando, co-director of Inta, pointed out that «we received the equipment for digitization and to be used in the projects that we have been developing to strengthen the livelihoods of families in the countryside, mainly in the North Caribbean, where they were affected by hurricanes Iota and Eta”.
“Thanks to the cooperation we have had from the WFP and the policies of our good government, the families have managed to get ahead. Today we receive these teams to continue working for the people”, he underlined.
