Controlan incendio forestal en Alamikamba, Caribe Norte
El Ejército de Nicaragua en cumplimiento al Plan de Prevención y Control de Incendios Forestales y Agropecuarios a través del Batallón Ecológico “BOSAWAS”, en coordinación con el COMUPRED y la Policía Nacional, ayudaron a sofocar un incendio forestal en el barrio Nuevo, a 3 kilómetros al noreste de Alamikamba, municipio de Prinzapolka, Región Autónoma de la Costa Caribe Norte.
Lo anterior fue dado a conocer por medio de una nota de prensa donde informan que lograron extinguir el fuego en un área de 7 manzanas de maleza.
La rápida intervención de los efectivos militares evitó que el fuego se propagara a 10 viviendas y al Hospital Primario Prinzu Pawanka y de esa manera mitigar los efectos negativos en la salud de las personas. Durante la sofocación, se emplearon fuerzas y medios del Batallón Ecológico.

The rapid intervention of the military troops prevented the fire from spreading to 10 homes and the Prinzu Pawanka Primary Hospital, thus mitigating the negative effects on people’s health. During the suffocation, forces and means of the Ecological Battalion were used.
