Davis Hodgson será galardonado y entrará al salón de la fama

Davis Vernan Hodgson Deering actual gerente de la Corporación Costa Caribe, un destacado dirigente del beisbol en Nicaragua, quien ha dirigido varios equipos en primera división y un destacado hijo dilecto de la ciudad de Bluefields, será galardonado y exaltado en el salón de la fama en la XXVII Ceremonia de Exaltación que se realizará el lunes 19 de abril del 2021 en celebración al Día Nacional del Deportistas Nicaragüense.

En un comunicado emitido este jueves 8 de abril el salón de la fama del deporte nicaragüense realizo una asamblea y entre los seleccionados se encuentra nuestro dirigente deportivo y orgullo de la Costa Caribe Davis Hodgson un gran deportista, un gran amigo y un gran dirigente deportivo.

Sistema de Noticias del Caribe por este medio expresa su más profundo agradecimiento a los miembros del salón de la fama por escoger a nuestro gerente del equipo caribeño para entrar en este distinguido equipo de deportistas nacionales que le han dado gloria a nuestro deporte en Nicaragua.

Por este medio el Salón de la Fama del Deporte Nicaragüense informa a la Crónica Deportiva, Medios de Comunicación, Deportistas Nicaragüense y Opinión Pública en general lo siguiente:

En Asamblea del Salón de la Fama del Deporte Nicaragüense realizada este día jueves 8 de abril de 2021 para votar sobre la propuesta de nuevos miembros a la “XXVII Ceremonia de Exaltación 2021”, se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados:

ATLETAS:

Luis Alberto Sánchez Pérez (Boxeo) / Doble Campeón Mundial Profesional (Súper Mosca y Gallo de la Federación Internacional de Boxeo, Luis Alfonso Cano Arauz (Béisbol) / 94 Victorias, 21 salvados, 1061 ponches y 2.47 en 20 temporadas nacionales / Medalla de Plata juegos Panamericanos 1983.

José María Bermúdez (Fútbol) / Goleador en Campeonatos Nacionales, seleccionado nacional, jugador titular en la Liga Profesional de Honduras. Marlon Leytón Mendoza (Karate Do) / Medallista de Oro Centroamericano; Doble Medallista en Centroamericanos y del Caribe.

Jannis María Ramírez Oliveira (Atletismo/Béisbol/Sóftbol) / Quinta en Mundial Juvenil de Atletismo y Campeona Centroamericana Jabalina; campeona centroamericana en béisbol infantil / doble medallita centroamericana en sóftbol.

Estela Guadalupe Tíffer Silva (Tae Kwon Do) / Campeona Panamericana Mayor en 2007; Medalla de Plata en Campeonatos CA y Caribe; Campeona Centroamericana,  María Esther Morales Espinoza (Sóftbol) / Medalla de Oro y de Plata en Juegos Centroamericanos, Campeona Centroamericana / 20 años estrella de nuestros sóftbol.

Karla Patricia Mendieta Gutiérrez (Karate Do) / Doble medallista en Juegos Centroamericanos y Campeonatos Centroamericanos.

ENTRENADORES Y PERSONALIDADES:

Angel Mallona Narváez (Baloncesto) / Medalla de Oro y Plata en Juegos Centroamericanos; Medalla de Oro Campeonato Centroamericano y del Caribe Universitario, Davis Vernan Hodgson Deerings (Béisbol) / Medalla de Bronce en Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, Campeón Nacional con cuatro equipos.

Marcos Iglesias Pérez (Atletismo) / Calificado como el mejor entrenador de fondo y semifondo en la década de los ochenta, Doctor Ernesto Ruiz Calero (Medicina Deportiva) / Más de 30 años dedicada a la atención y recuperación de atletas de Alto Rendimiento.

Que la XXVII Ceremonia de Exaltación se realizará el lunes 19 de abril del 2021 en celebración al Día Nacional del Deportistas Nicaragüense. En Managua, a los ocho días del mes de abril del año dos mil veintiuno.

Davis Hodgson to be honored and enter the Hall of Fame

Davis Vernan Hodgson Deering, current manager of the Caribbean Coast Corporation, a prominent baseball leader in Nicaragua, who has managed several teams in the first division and an outstanding beloved son of the city of Bluefields, will be honored and exalted in the hall of fame in the XXVII Exaltation Ceremony that will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 in celebration of the National Day of Nicaraguan Athletes.

In a statement issued this Thursday, April 8, the Nicaraguan sports hall of fame held an assembly and among those selected is our sports leader and pride of the Caribbean Coast Davis Hodgson, a great athlete, a great friend and a great sports leader.

Sistema de Noticias del Caribe hereby expresses its deepest gratitude to the members of the Hall of Fame for choosing our Caribbean team manager to join this distinguished team of national athletes who have brought glory to our sport in Nicaragua.

By this means, the Nicaraguan Sports Hall of Fame informs the Sports Chronicle, the Media, Nicaraguan Athletes and Public Opinion in general the following:

In the Assembly of the Nicaraguan Sports Hall of Fame held this Thursday, April 8, 2021 to vote on the proposal of new members to the “XXVII 2021 Exaltation Ceremony”, the following results were obtained:

José María Bermúdez (Soccer) / Goalscorer in National Championships, national team, starting player in the Professional League of Honduras. Marlon Leytón Mendoza (Karate Do) / Central American Gold Medalist; Double Medalist in Central America and the Caribbean.

Jannis María Ramírez Oliveira (Athletics / Baseball / Softball) / Fifth in the Junior Athletics World Cup and Central American Javelin Champion; Central American champion in children’s baseball / Central American double medal in softball.

Estela Guadalupe Tíffer Silva (Tae Kwon Do) / Senior Pan American Champion in 2007; Silver Medal in CA and Caribbean Championships; Central American Champion, María Esther Morales Espinoza (Softball) / Gold and Silver Medal in Central American Games, Central American Champion / 20 years star of our softball.
