Autoridades vigilan crecida de ríos en el Caribe
Autoridades del Gobierno Regional del Caribe Norte en articulación con los municipios vigilan el comportamiento de los ríos Likus y Wawa que provocaron anegaciones en tres comunidades del bloque SIGBA y la suspensión por 24 horas de la operación del ferry en la l río Wawa que permite el pase de vehículos hacia Puerto Cabezas y WASPAM y de allí hacia el resto de la región y el país.
La doctora Ivania López miembro del comité departamental de Prevención Mitigación y Atención de Desastres CODEPRED dijo que ayer miércoles se unieron dos ondas tropicales y eso provocó mucha lluvia y se crecieron los ríos Likus y Wawa pero ya hoy ha comenzado a bajar su caudal sin afectaciones en las comunidades.
Las autoridades decidieron poner en marcha ya la operación del ferry dejando pasar primero a los vehículos livianos para luego seguir con el transporte pesado.
“Lo más importante es que se tomaron las medidas necesarias para proteger los medios en el Wawa y la protección de los comunitarios en la vigilancia permanente que se tiene en la región para salvaguardar la vida de la población es un mandato del presidente Daniel Ortega y la vicepresidenta Rosario Murillo “ afirmó López.
La funcionaria del Gobierno Regional del Caribe Norte dijo que la vigilancia se mantiene de forma permanente pues ha entrado el invierno y por ello la vigilancia es mayor en la región.
Todo este proceso de darle seguimiento a las amenazas diversas en la región se hacen efectivas desde los ejercicios nacionales que orienta el Gobierno donde se pone en práctica los planes de emergencia que se tienen para asegurar que la vida de la población este salvaguarda.
En el Caribe las amenazas están ligadas a los huracanes, inundaciones deslaves y derrumbes en los cerro o la crecida de los ríos.

The official of the Regional Government of the North Caribbean said that surveillance is maintained permanently as winter has entered and therefore surveillance is greater in the region.
