Saupuka será la sede de la conmemoración del día internacional de los Pueblos Indígenas en el Caribe Norte
La comunidad miskita de Saupuka en el municipio de Waspam será la sede del acto de conmemoración del día internacional de los Pueblos Indígenas, que reúne a los Pueblos Indígenas de la Costa Caribe Norte.
En esta conmemoración estarán presentes indígenas de los 18 territorios indígenas del Caribe Norte Nicaragüense, cada uno mostrara sus diferentes expresiones culturales, con ropa elaboradas a base de cortezas y hojas de árboles tales como el tuno, coco, cacao entre otros.
Esta conmemoración inicia el día jueves con el tradicional URALE que es un ritual sagrado indígena miskitu que promueve la fraternidad y unidad de nuestros pueblos.
El Gobierno Sandinista en la década de los 80 tomo la iniciativa para crear una ley de carácter constitucional que es dirigida al reconocimiento y promoción del derecho de los Pueblos Originarios del Caribe Nicaragüense que ha venido promoviendo la revitalización Cultural, Multilingüe, Territorial, Natural, Mineral y ancestral.
La ley 28 de rango constitucional, es una ley que reconoce la multiculturalidad de la Costa Caribe y el derecho de estos pueblos al uso goce y disfrute de sus recursos natrales así como a su propio Gobierno, por eso hoy tenemos dos gobiernos Regionales, pero también hay gobiernos territoriales y comunitarios, cada uno actuando en su ámbito y desarrollando acciones en articulación con el buen Gobierno que dirige el comandante Daniel y la compañera Rosario.
El estado nicaragüense ha sido uno de los países promotores en temas de Derechos de los pueblos indígenas creando leyes y ratificando convenios internacionales tales como, el convenio de Brasil, Ley de autonomía, ley 445 de Gobernanza territorial y la creación de los Consejos y Gobiernos Regionales.
En esta jornada conmemorativa se van a poder disfrutar los juegos tradicionales tales como el Kitty All, jalada de mecate, cargada de troncos entre otros.
Una de las promociones que se realiza en etas festividades conmemorativas es la gastronomía ancestral de nuestros pueblos uno de ellos es el lukluk que será parte de la alimentación para todos y todas.
El Gobierno Regional que dirige el master Carlos Alemán Cunningham y el Gobierno municipal de Waspam, así como los demás gobiernos locales de. los municipios caribeños, aportan importantes recursos económicos enviados de la presidencia de la República para esta conmemoración internacional que fortalece la identidad ancestral de nuestros pueblos.
