Lanzan jornada de vacunación canina en Siuna
Las autoridades del Gobierno de Nicaragua por medio del Ministerio de Salud realizaron el lanzamiento de la jornada nacional canina, que solo en Siuna esperan vacunar contra la rabia a 31 mil perros, con la ayuda de la red comunitaria y estudiantes de la universidad URACCAN y el Tecnológico Nacional Bernardino Diaz Ochoa.
El lanzamiento se hizo en la escuela del barrio Denis Mendieta en Siuna, donde los pobladores legaron a vacunar a sus perros de forma voluntaria en esta jornada que ya comenzó en Siuna, donde las autoridades realizaran esta jornada en visita casa a casa.
El doctor Elvin Centeno, director del Ministerio de Salud en Siuna, dijo que cuentan con el respaldo de los estudiantes del tecnológico Nacional de la carrera de técnico en veterinaria y de URACCAN de la carrera de Medicina Veterinaria, así mismo con los lideres de salud de la red comunitaria en las comunidades de Siuna.
El doctor Centeno dijo que dentro de la jornada incluyen los 208 comunidades y 24 barrios de Siuna, donde se hará una visita casa a casa en la ciudad de Siuna y en las comunidades se va a trabajar en los puestos de salud y con los lideres de la red comunitaria de salud.
Esta jornada inicia hoy y concluye el 12 de septiembre, tienen un mes para esta jornada, y se hace casa a casa, porque se ha logrado mayor éxito con esta estrategia, y en las comunidades se tendrá un punto céntrico donde viven los lideres de la red comunitaria.
Por su parte la población que asistió al lanzamiento de la jornada con sus caninos, expresó su alegría y su satisfacción, ya que esto ayuda a la salud animal de sus mascotas.
Leonel Herrera poblador del barrio Denis Mendieta de Siuna dijo que es una gran cosa esta jornada de vacunación ya que se ahorran ese gasto de vacunar a sus mascotas, pero además contribuyen a la salud de sus animalitos.
Por su parte Janier Díaz Diaz, estudiantes de segundo año de Medicina Veterinaria de URACCAN en Siuna, dijo que esto es muy importante participar en la jornada ya que hay muchos caninos que necesitan ser atendidos de forma gratuita, pero como estudiantes ponen en practica las habilidades que han adquirido en las aulas de clases.
En tanto la docente de INATEC, Arlen Xiomara López Gonzales, dijo que esta jornada es importante pata los estudiantes y el personal del INATEC en apoyo al Ministerio de salud para evitar que los caninos se enfermen de rabia, también nuestros estudiantes aplican sus conocimientos en esta jornada.
El Ministerio de salud estima vacunar a 80 mil perros en los municipios de Siuna, Rosita, Bonanza, Mulukuku y Paiwas.
