Exitosos operativos del Batallón Ecológico en Triángulo Minero
Las autoridades militares del Batallón Ecológico Bosawas, acantonado en Siuna, dieron a conocer los resultados de las operaciones militares realizadas durante el primer semestre del año 2024, que dejaron exitosos resultados en la protección de los recursos naturales y de apoyo a las instituciones del buen gobierno en la región caribeña.
El teniente coronel David Cedeño jefe del Batallón Económico Bosawas, dijo que en la región fueron detenido a 31 personas, se ocuparon un total de 37 semovientes, así como la ocupación de 10 armas de uso civil y 18 municiones.
El jefe militar dijo que se ocuparon 27 mil 575 pies tablares de madera, se retuvieron un total de 5 vehículos que transportaban madera ilegal, se ocuparon 10 garrobos, 66 mil córdobas que también se ocuparon, 10 motosierras ocupadas, una maquina artesanal para explotación de oro, 3 bestias mulares, 389.8 gramos de mariguana ocupados, 616 plantas de marihuana y 145.8 libras de semillas de marihuana.
En este periodo el jefe militar indico que realizaron 1060 servicios operativos en la protección de los recursos natrales, así mismo indico que se realizaron 373 servicios operativos en el plan de seguridad en el campo.
El Batallón Ecológico Bosawas, en este periodo también se garantizo la seguridad en el traslado de valores por el orden de los 50 millones, 202 mil 392.95 córdobas.
El teniente coronel Cedeño, afirmo que en articulación con el MARENA se realizaron la reforestación de 14. 5 manzanas con 2000 plantas de cedro macho, caoba, granadillo y genízaro.
El jefe militar dijo que en este periodo se apoyó al SILAIS del Triángulo Minero con tropas del Batallón Ecológico en la realización de 4 jornadas de fumigación 3 de avatizacion y 4 descargues de medicamentos.
En la región minera el Batallón Ecológico ha participado en la jornada de donación de sangre, combate a incendios forestales, I y II ejercicio multiamenaza, así como encuentros con ganaderos y Gobiernos Territoriales Indígenas.
Finalmente, el jefe militar dijo que han participado en todas las actividades conmemorativas del 45 aniversario del Ejercito de Nicaragua y mantienen su compromiso de seguir trabajando en defensa de la patria con firmeza y cohesión.
