Gobierno de Nicaragua mejora la comunicación en el Caribe Sur
El Gobierno de Nicaragua mejora la comunicación en varias comunidades del Caribe Sur por medio del programa de mejoramiento de infraestructura regional de Comunicaciones.
El proyecto de fibra óptica que será ejecutado en el Caribe Sur, parte de un convenio entre el Gobierno de Nicaragua y el Banco Mundial.
El proyecto tiene incidencia en las comunidades indígenas y afrodescendientes del Municipio de Laguna Perla y sus 10 comunidades, el Municipio de Kukra Hill y el Municipio de El Rama.
Se pretende implementar el despliegue e instalación de 115 kilómetros de fibra óptica partiendo desde la subestación La Esperanza pasa por Rama, Kukra Hill y finaliza en el municipio de Laguna de Perla.
Los días 23 y 24 de septiembre el Coordinador de Gobierno Rubén López Espinoza junto a la licenciada Hebe Machado directora de la Secretaría Regional del Medio Amiente y Recursos Naturales (SERENA), sostuvieron reunión con funcionarios de la Empresa Nacional de Transmisión Eléctrica (ENATREL) y El Instituto Nicaragüense de Telecomunicaciones y Correos (TELCOR) que es el ente regulador de las telecomunicaciones, para hablar sobre el proyecto de fibra óptica o banda ancha.
El Programa Banda Ancha constituye el esfuerzo del Gobierno que busca maximizar el aprovechamiento de las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación en el crecimiento económico y el desarrollo social, identificando al usuario como el principal agente económico (ciudadano, empresa u organización) del uso y la adopción de estas tecnologías para la realización de actividades productivas, sociales, culturales o políticas.
Government of Nicaragua improves communication in the South Caribbean
The Government of Nicaragua will improve communication in various communities in the South Caribbean through the program to improve regional communications infrastructure.
The fiber optic project to be carried out in the South Caribbean, part of an agreement between the Government of Nicaragua and the World Bank.
The project has an impact on the indigenous and Afro-descendant communities of the Municipality of Laguna Perla and its 10 communities, the Municipality of Kukra Hill and the Municipality of El Rama.
The intention is to implement the deployment and installation of 115 kilometers of fiber optics starting from the La Esperanza substation, passing through Rama, Kukra Hill and ending in the municipality of Laguna de Perla.
On September 23 and 24, the Government Coordinator Rubén López Espinoza together with the lawyer Hebe Machado, director of the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Natural Resources (SERENA), held a meeting with officials of the National Electricity Transmission Company (ENATREL) and The Nicaraguan Institute of Telecommunications and Postal Services (TELCOR), which is the telecommunications regulator, to talk about the fiber optic or broadband project.
The Broadband Program constitutes the Government’s effort that seeks to maximize the use of Information and Communication Technologies in economic growth and social development, identifying the user as the main economic agent (citizen, company or organization) of the use and adoption of these technologies to carry out productive, social, cultural or political activities.
