Nuevo sismo sacude el Pacífico de Nicaragua
Un segundo temblor se registró a las 6:56 minutos de la mañana de este miércoles, sacudiendo principalmente la zona del Pacífico de Nicaragua.
Según un reporte del Instituto Nicaragüense de Estudios Territoriales, el sismo tuvo una magnitud de 5.8 con epicentro y se localizó a 81 kilómetros al suroeste de Corinto en el occidente del país.
Se trata de un evento vinculado a los frecuentes choques entre las placas tectónicas Coco y Caribe.
A las 3:57 de la madrugada un poderoso sismo de magnitud 6.2 se registro a 84 kilómetros al suroeste de las costas de Jiquilillo, en el departamento de Chinandega. El evento telúrico tuvo una profundidad de 20 kilómetros.
Este sismo también se sintió en localidades de los departamentos de Estelí y Matagalpa.
La página del INETER, refleja se han registrado hasta el momento 19 réplicas desde el sismo que ocurrió en horas de la madrugada.
